Description of Work: They repaired our fridge.

Description of Work: Called the company (8/18), they responded promptly. Took apart my Maytag washer told me the Transmission was shot. Told me I could buy a new one for about what it would cost to repair this one. Told me that Whirlpool had bought out Maytag. I had a bad experience with a Whirlpool Dryer a long time ago and was told they use plastic rollers for the outside of the drum that give out all the time. So I wanted to keep my Maytag and am willing to pay the total cost of $485 to get a new transmission. They had to order it from either Portland or Sacramento (on a Friday no less) and said it would be here Tuesday. I'm leaving for a trip on Wednesday (post note: actually left on Thursday due to this issue) so need the washer to get my clothes ready Tuesday night. (That's going to be a long night.) Hope it comes on time and all goes well. I'm waiting now...Saga update: 8/23 the transmission arrived. Technician arrived to install the transmission. Then he found that the kit with the transmission did not have the stainless steel bolts. So they went on order and finally on 8/29 (while I was gone on the trip) the bolts arrived and the technician showed up in a timely manner and installed the transmission. However, the extended rinse and spin cycles made a heck of a racket. Technician scheduled to return AGAIN to see what that problem is. Will update saga when he resolves that issue. Had to go to the laundromat to get my laundry done to take my trip. Technician/Owner came back again (9/1), and said it needed an adjustment of about 1/8" to stop the noise. He did the job. Most of the noise has subsided. If the tub is slightly out of balance you hear a racket.... If you rebalance it it is better. Not sure I'd use same repair company, it seemed like there was an inordinate wait to get all the problems resolved, and it seems it still has an issue with slightly unbalanced tubs.
