Abbey Road's Clean-Air Power Vac

The original call was about duct and coil cleaning. They discovered critical problems with the duct-work which expanded the job, so we discussed the issues and they performed that work as well. They found unconnected sections, leaks, bad fastenings, etc. due to low quality installation. I doubled checked their findings to confirm that they weren't boosting the job or citing unneeded work; they were accurate and honest.

They took around 3 hours to complete the job and they did excellent. I recommend them to others provided the don't use the roto brush method to clean the air ducts.

Company was thorough, explained the entire process, and showed us photos and videos of system taken from camera inserted into system. Also showed us before and after cleaning process output measurements. Cleaning of the system improved output volume markedly, reduced dust in the house measurably, and helped the heating system perform more efficiently, which will save money on heating and cooling bills.

They showed up on time and performed the task professionally. They even did some other little things to make our house more efficient. They answered all our questions and were very friendly and knowledgeable.

The technicians were on time and courteous. We had wanted to have the duct work cleaned and after inspection, the crew recommended replacement. I felt their opinion was objective since they would have made more money if they had cleaned the ducts. The showed photographs of the damage and evidence of rodent activity. They made suggestions about how to proceed.

The price was a bit steep, but we have a 3300 sq ft house, and more vents than typical. The first thing the boys did was take apart the main air-conditioning unit. Upon inspection..... they found a water leak in the system, and some rust issues as well. They were thorough in bringing these issues to my attention, which I appreciate. They then went about their business finishing up the job. Overall..... Im very satisfied with the quality of their work, and would have them return for future cleanings when the time comes. Prior, I was having an excessive amount of dust build up around the house. Right now it is hard to tell if this is improved, as a nearby forest fire has the valley full of smoke. Even so, the airflow readings have been increased in every area of the house, so I'm hoping for the best.

They showed up on time and did an excellent job. They fould only a few minor leaks but improved airflow from 260 cfm to 280 cfm which is excellent for the size of our home. They did not find any mold (thank goodness) but did find construction debris and dust that they cleaned or removed. We decided to have them redo the ducts in another year or two as we are prone to allergies and mold.

Gregg and Tom, the Abbey Road's technicians showed up on time and explained the procedure then ran and tested our air system. They took measurements of air flow then turned the system off and got to work. They entered the duct system from the air handling unit after taking out filters. They proceeded to run their truck [see their web site, it is quite an interesting sight to look at the truck in action] and clean all our ducts. They also taped all the cold and hot air registers, sealing them to improve performance of the system. They even opened and repaired one of the registers that we were unaware was not working. They cleaned the furnace, fan, and life filters. After all the cleaning they closed up the system and ran it again taking the same measurements with improved results. Gregg made recommendations for the air intake filter replacement and clarified that duct cleaning should be accomplished every 3 years for our home. It was evident that the ducting had not been cleaned - if ever - for a very long time. We are pleased with the performance of our air system since the cleaning.
