Gold Beach Plumbing

Our water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. I called every plumber listed in Brookings without reaching a live person, but left a detailed message for each. Not a single one of these plumbers returned the call. I did speak with a plumber in Crescent City, CA, but he would be unable to get to it for a week. Gold Beach Plumbing not only answered the phone, an appointment was scheduled for the following day. They arrived exactly when they said they would, and they were courteous and professional in doing their work.

The service was good. The plumbers were punctual and performed their jobs quickly. I was excited to use my new dishwasher, but it took a couple days to sufficiently load with dishes. (Machine was installed on Friday the 26th) I turned the machine on at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday the 28th. After about 10 minutes of usage the water connection for the dishwasher came apart and emptied about two to three gallons before the water was shut off less than a minute later. The part that broke was original and had not been installed by the plumbers, however it was the connecting piece they had been working on. I called Gold Beach plumbing and after waiting three hours longer than their estimate had a newly repaired water connection to the tune of an additional $100. ($188-$288) This repair took under one minute and while the original part was almost nine years old it hadn't failed until the install of the dishwasher. Still since the plumbers had turned the dishwasher on for thirty seconds without fail, it must have been our fault. These are generally nice guys, their pricing up until this point had been fair, but I'll be looking for a different local plumber for my next job.

A ruptured hot water heater flooded my basement. He responded quickly without charging extra. Even helped me clean up.
