SPRAYING AND REPLANTING CONTRACTED BY ANOTHER COMPANY.
He did not finish the job as contracted. The largest stump was left largely unground. Large tree roots were "unchased" (ground out) or only partially chased, as promised. A fence post was struck by a falling tree limb, necessitating replacement of it and the adjoining fence panels. A gutter was torn off an eave in the same way. The contractor refused to pay for subsequent removal of the tree roots and stumps that an excavator had to be hired to remove. He did not pay for the fence and gutter. He was unlicensed at the time of the job. He was difficult to reach and didn't return phone calls. He asked for payment in full prior to completion of the job.
Description of Work: Cut down three large trees and three or four small trees. Topped 20 Arbor Vitae trees. Ground out one stump of the larger trees. Ground down some of the roots.

Everything went great. During the free estimate, it was obvious that David knows his trees very well; his advice was well-reasoned and sound. His crew worked very hard, and are very skilled. Lots of heavy limbs and trunks coming down, with ZERO damage to anything! Their job took a lot longer than expected, due to mechanical problems with their chipper. In the end, they were cutting the limbs into small pieces, to fit them into the truck, which took a lot longer. We are very happy we chose this company. The work was done perfectly, and we think the price is very fair. The clean-up was done so well that I was about to tell the crew to just go home, but they were still fussing with the end of the clean-up, to get it just right.
Description of Work: David Cobb/Quality Trees Unlimited: They removed: four alders of varying size (including one with four trunks, which had its stump ground out); 2 maples; 4 cypress trees of about 20' height; one small mountain ash, one flowering pear; chipped all the above (except they left the large pieces cut into firewood lengths), and cleaned up, all in about 10 hours with a crew of 3 guys.

Description of Work: Quality Tree removed 3 small to medium trees, did thinning in three very large trees, ground the stumps on the removal and hauled away the debris. The work was done just as promised, on time and at a fair price. I would recommend this contractor to anyone needing tree work.

David was prompt in response and gave a very competitive quote. He and his team were able to come in time for our siding guys to remove our siding. He was on time, pleasant, and finished in far less time than originally thought. All around a good professional experience.

David came by for an estimate the same day and scheduled the job to be done a couple of days later. David and his crew arrived promptly and had the work done in a couple of hours. All of my questions and concerns were addressed. Overall, I am very happy with the work done and would definitely hire Quality Trees Unlimited again.

When I called for a bid David came the next morning to meet my fianc . He seemed very knowledgeable about trees and what needed to be done. We had two trees to remove from the front of our house. One of the trees was only about 5-7 feet from our house. They arrived early on the scheduled day. The crew knew exactly what they were doing. They were fast and left everything very clean. They even cleaned up the mess that the trees had already made before they arrived. The job was the same as the bid amount, no surprises. We will probably have them back in the Spring for another tree that needs to be removed.

The tree was located such that he needed to drive equipment on the back lawn, but this was done carefully and barely noticeable. The tree was actually taken down while we were out of town. We did not have him grind the stump, and we did call him back to cut the stump down a little closer to the ground, which he did without any incident. We also cut and removed the limbs and trunk ourselves to save money.
