Better than expected. Jesse got the work done for two bathrooms in just under an hour.
Description of Work: Jesse repaired a leaking toilet and replaced the mechanics of a second toilet. He knew exactly what was wrong and it turned out to be much less intrusive and expensive than I expected it to be. I called his office on a Saturday and he was here bright and early on Tuesday morning ... Very responsive and timely. I highly recommend him!

This is the second time I hired Jesse for plumbing work. Prior work he completed for me in March was done very well, so I returned to him for this project: install separate main shutoffs for each unit within duplex, running separate PEX water line to second unit. Original quote was $356 to complete job. I asked him to install new mainline piping in the duplex crawlspace in such a way as to make 'need-to-complete-later' plumbing work (moving laundry and water heater pipes) easier to accomplish later. Job took longer to complete than he expected, hence the price paid was 25% higher than his original proposal. Though significantly higher than proposal, I understand the reason for the increase as he was NOT given the opportunity to access/review the second unit of duplex beforehand, and conditions/materials needed were more difficult in that unit, significantly extending his labor time and increasing the piping/fittings required. However, by completing this prep work now, it will make the 'need-to-complete-later' laundry/water-heater plumbing work easier to do (likely in next couple months). I have found Jesse to be professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Significant reasons I hired him originally was due to his very positive Angie's List reviews, along with the first impression I received from him when he reviewed/bid my plumbing renovation. He listened to my requests, gave suggestions, and was respectful throughout. I found he gets the work done without leaks or mess, completes it quickly without wasting time, and leaves jobsite neat and clean. When it comes to plumbing, I want the peace of mind that it will be done right and reduce/eliminate any chances of future problems. If I could give Knight Plumbing a score higher than 'A' for Professionalism and for Quality, I certainly would do so . . .
Description of Work: Modify main water line going through the duplex crawlspace from a single line with one shutoff (that controlled both units) to two separate lines with two separate shutoffs. Each unit within duplex could then have its water shutoff independent of each other.

He did the repair also snaked the whole drain. He arrived early, was very professional, and completed the work within one hour of labor so price was exactly as quoted plus parts which he had with him. When he was done, everything was neat and clean like he hadn't even been there except for the good part - my bathroom sink drained again! And my husband didn't have to do it and run to the plumbing store 3 times like usually happens.
Description of Work: I had an old bathroom sink trap/elbow that had been running slow and because of it's age and my husband's frustrating experience with another bathroom in our house that was exactly in the same condition, I knew it needed replacing.

Jesse did an amazing job, took a little time to figure out what was going on with my drains, but he didnt stop trying to figure out what was going on, and was determined to get it fixed. He was very professional and went above and beyond what I thought he would have done.
Description of Work: Not only did Jesse come on a Sunday, but he only charged me his regular rate. And he was there for the first hour and we could not figure out the problem, so he didnt charge me for that hour. Jesse went over and above what I expected, and I have already handed out some of his cards for referrals to some of my friends and family.

Jesse told us he would call the morning of service, and he called at the time he said he would. He arrived right on time and proceeded to repair our toilet, which had a faulty seal and needed some new parts. When he needed to go to the hardware store for a part he didn't have, he did so without charging us for that time. He gave us the Angie's List member discount. He was very professional and pleasant. We would absolutely recommend him and will call on him for our future plumbing needs. Thank you Jesse!

Arriving at jobsite for estimate/proposal, Jesse was prompt, attentive, and offered suggestions/alternatives. He emailed a proposal . . . and though he was second most expensive of the four I had received, I was most impressed with his demeanor, honesty and professionalism at our initial meeting, along with positive Angie's List reviews. Since this was an rental duplex unit, scheduling was very important for tenant accommodation. I had prepared site beforehand by disconnection/removing existing water heater and removing garage sheetrock at water heater location and 'new' washer locations, so he could get right to work . . . which he did by arriving e-x-a-c-t-l-y on time. Asked my permission before turning on a portable radio (never loud, no rap music, just talk radio) . . . very courteous. Work required - Washer plumbing: Cut/break through concrete block foundation, drill through sill for routing pipes, splice into cast-iron main drain-line in crawlspace for washer drain (PVC). Installed PEX water lines, connecting to existing copper lines in crawlspace. Install washer box with valves. Run drain vent-line into attic, install cleanout and durgo valve. Work required - Water Heater: Cut/disconnect/remove existing copper lines, drill through sill for routing pipes. Install PEX water lines, connecting to existing copper in crawlspace, install ball-valve shutoff. Work was completed in a timely manner, about 6-1/2 hours . . . less time than he listed on proposal (tenant very happy). Cleaned up after himself. I had previously asked about the 10% Off (labor) discount as listed on Angie's List, wherein his final price was discounted about $59. Before he left, we discussed additional work I wanted completed within the month (same washer plumbing, water heater pipe relocation work in the other half of the duplex). Paid via check upon completion. After he left, I went into crawlspace to 'inspect' quality of work, and found everything to be done to a very high standard. Tidy, well secured, clean - work that is 'unseen/hidden' in a crawlspace (that you rarely access) had the same degree of workmanship as the exposed work in garage . . . a great sign of pride in workmanship. I still need to complete sheetrock installation and re-installation of water heater (to which he offered to do, however my labor is free). Jesse was friendly, thorough, informative, and clean-working . . . with no problems, no surprises, no upcharges, no plumber 'crack' :-) Not one of the lower proposals that I received, but in my case I feel comforted and satisfied in the >>quality<< of work completed . . . so much so that I have no hesitation or reservations in re-hiring/scheduling Knight Plumbing to complete this same plumbing task on the adjoining duplex unit. Include me as another satisfied customer . . . :-)
Description of Work: Install new hot/cold water lines and washer valve box into insulated garage wall. Install new PVC drain line for washer, connecting to existing cast-iron main drain in crawlspace. Relocate water heater hot/cold lines into insulated wall (existing copper/galvanized lines exposed in unheated garage) and relocate water heater shutoff to more accessible location.

Jesse was great and got right to us to give an estimate on the project after we first contacted him. The project started out with the main adjustments for the remodel which he completed with quality work. A couple days after he had finished the first job, we discovered another job was required for the remodel to progress and he was right there in the next couple of days. Also, Jesse came back for a 3rd time to correct a miscalculation on our part and helped us get the job done quickly. He was in contact with us throughout the process of getting the inspections completed and was always easy to reach for questions. Jesse was very efficient with his time, the price was very appropriate for the work that needed to be done, he is very personable and pleasant to work with, and he does quality work. We would not hesitate to have him work for us again.
Description of Work: We are remodeling our kitchen and we had the hot water heater moved which required the plumbing and the natural gas moved. The gas line for the gas oven and range was moved, as well. Also, we had the kitchen sink and sink in the garage replumbed for the remodel.

Water from toilet was leaking through ceiling of room below. Was hoping to simply remove toilet and replace wax ring, however discovered that the toilet flange was very corroded and probably needed to be replaced. I called Jesse from Knight Plumbing and explained the situation. He told me about how long it would take to repair and gave me his hourly rate. Often, in this kind of situation, I would call around and get several estimates but I got a good feeling talking to Jesse and we scheduled at appointment for a couple of days later. As he said he would, he called a half hour before the appointment time to let me know he was coming and then showed up right on time. He went right to work and worked around some minor complications to complete the job. Then helped me get the toilet remounted to see if any more water leaked. He also answered numerous questions I had while he was working. Jesse was polite, he was competent and so far everything seems fine. He said that his work was guaranteed for a year so I felt good about that also. I liked Jesse. I liked the job he did and he would be the first person I would call for any future plumbing issues.
Description of Work: Replaced an old, corroded cast iron toilet flange with a new plastic one.

Our water heater quit working. I called Jessie Friday morning and he was able to come out that afternoon. He called when he said he would to let me know exactly when he would be coming. We showed/told him what the trouble was and what we had tried. He explained what he thought might be the problem and answered our questions about the lifespan of a water heater, the costs of replacements, etc. He said he could just light the pilot light, and it might or might not go out again, but he thought it was likely that it was the somethignsomething (sorry) which would cost $35, but that of course it might not be that at all and it was up to us. We decided to, which he did in less than an hour and water heter is working fine now (yay for hot showers!). Also, I asked him while he was here about a leaky pipe in our sprinkler system. He doesn't do sprinklers, but we showed him the leak and he showed us how to turn of the sprinklers at their main valve and recommended someone to call in spring to do a real repair.
Description of Work: Relit the pilot light on our water heater, replaced the thermo-coupler, and turned off water to sprinkler system.

I didn’t actually deal with him - my husband did - but I know that we were happy with the work he did. He came out and did what he said he was going to do for the amount he said he was going to charge. It was efficient. We have no complaints with him. We would rate him highly and would use him in the future if necessary.

This went very well. I called and he happened to be doing work in Beaverton that very day so he made room for me in his schedule. He called when he was on the way. When he arrived, he went to work quickly finding the source of the problem. He was here a good 20 minutes and could have charged me for the visit, but instead asked that if I proceed with the repair that I consider him.
Description of Work: My water meter indicated a slow leak. Jesse came over and diagnosed it for free.
