He is really great. He was recommended to me by someone that does kitchen and bathroom renovations in the storage homes. He really knows how to work with old plumbing because my plumbing is a hundred years old. He has so much experience and knowledge. He is great. Last year, it was really cold and I could not turn the water off and I tried calling a different plumber whom I don?t remember and said that they might come next week. Then I called Brian and he was here in thirty minutes. He stopped the leak and he really walked me through on what to do about insurance companies and other services. So he is really a viable person to have a round. The price was reasonable. He is there when I need him. He is really responsive. He is the one that I would ever use. He has so much experience with old plumbing. He worked at the Mansion and still works at some of the premier historic buildings in Portland. He understands the old plumbing fixtures and he has so much information and experience.
Description of Work: I really had a good experience with Brian Marrone Plumbing Works. He checked a leaking toilet which is nine years old.

He has a very nice website which I liked. He came out and did an estimate and was thorough but spent much time chatting. It was nearly like a social visit. The plan was for him to fix a leaky toilet and install the sink, and possibly install a water filter. The day came for him to do the first task of fixing the toilet. He simply did not show up. I called him finally, as I had stayed home from work to be home when he was there. He said he had forgotten. He said that he has a hard time remembering things that he schedules while in the field. I wondered if he had even tried using a pocket calendar. I canceled the toilet job, and decided to proceed with him for the sink. He did come on time for that , and installed it to my satisfaction, although it seemed overly expensive. I decided it was not worth it to,do the other jobs with him. Apparently he works on historical properties and I suppose this means that he can command a high price. Anyway, I decided to find someone else to do the other jobs. I must credit him for not charging me for a toilet lid that he gave me. He did not have to do that, and I appreciated it.
Description of Work: I had a powder room sink installed . He made bids for other work , but I decided to find someone else to do it.

Our contracted plumber had told us that he didn't have time to complete the installation of a claw foot bathtub, which was the last phase of our bathroom renovation. On a referral, I called Brian Marrone of Brian's Plumbing Works. He returned my call within minutes, and came over the next day to assess the job. He gave me a verbal estimate, and described what he needed to do and how he'd do it. Brian also took time to examine all the bathtub plumbing hardware I had bought, and told me what wouldn't work, and what he needed to complete the installation. Brian arrived on time, with two helpers, and spent extra time completing the tub installation. The job was done very professionally, and we are pleased with the outcome. Brian really knows claw foot tubs, and is very knowledgeable about older fixtures. He specializes in the restoration of vintage fixtures in historic or older homes. We are happy to have found Brian, would hire him again, and recommend him highly.
Description of Work: Brian's Plumbing Works installed a new claw foot bathtub in our renovated bathroom. Brian and his assistants moved the tub into place and turned it over with a jack, connected the hot and cold water supply lines, installed the drain assembly and the faucets correctly and professionally.
