Carpets Plus Color Tile-Premier Floor Cleaning

The older guy worked by himself and did a good job. They are easy to work and they did what they said. I would this company in the future.

This has been a very frustrating experience working with Tony at Color Tile Portland. Initially we found him to be very helpful in the store, assisting us with tile choices for our kitchen and bath remodel projects. He came out to give us an estimate on a Monday (Nov. 15) as planned. We communicated to him that we were interested in an estimate for both the bath and kitchen but that the bath was the priority. He assured me he'd have both estimates by the following Thursday (Nov. 18) but would start working on the bathroom first. Thursday came and no estimate. I finally called that Saturday (Nov. 20). He stated he was still working on it and we'd have it that day. Got it the next day, Sunday but only the bathroom bid which was quoted using the kitchen flooring tiles and other add-ons that we didn't ask for. Emailed him Monday (Nov. 22) asking for him to correct the bid which he did that day. But still NO kitchen estimate. Finally, on Nov. 26, I emailed Tony again asking for the kitchen estimate, now over a week overdue as well as a break-down of labor versus materials. I heard nothing from him. I called Color Tile on Dec 1 asking why I wasn't receiving this estimate. They put me on hold. Upon returning they stated that they'd spoken with Tony at home and that he was still "working" on the estimate and I'd have it first thing the next day. I finally received an email from Tony on Dec. 3, but WITHOUT the kitchen estimate again! He only gave me the labor/material breakdown from the bathroom. I called immediately and expressed my frustration at getting a simple estimate. Tony stated he understood and that he thought the only urgency was the bathroom. He had promised on several occasions to have them both to me by a specified date. He stated again he would have the kitchen estimate to me that day (Dec. 3). It did not arrive. Hands down they have the best prices we've found on tiles, etc. However, we have never had this much trouble getting a simple estimate from any company. I cannot speak to the quality of installation, etc as I can't even get an estimate to decide if they are the most cost-effective choice. However, it makes me wary to hire anyone who can't keep their word and who seems completely disinterested in customer service.

They put down new vinyl flooring in the kitchen and re-carpeted the living room, hallway and stairway. My experience with them was okay, but after I looked carefully at the work, it was floppily done and incomplete, especially in the stairway. They sales woman who arranged everything for me was very nice and punctual. The workers came on time and did the work in a timely manner, but I am not happy with the quality of work.

Aaron is knowledgeable in all aspects of flooring and construction, returned calls, and provided information as needed. He also made numerous trips to measure, check on progress and even brought me out floor cleaner! I enjoyed the experience and am impressed with the customer service!

I worked with a young man named Nick. He was very accommodating with me and my husband's schedule. He was very knowledgeable about tile and other types of flooring. He did everything he could to get us the best price possible.

They were terrible. The face of the step of my shower was done incorrectly. The installer incorrectly installed my shower handle twice. I had to call a plumber and pay to have it fixed. Also, he never caulked it, which could have resulted in water damage. When an installer came to fix my tile, he broke another in the process. I've dealt with numerous unreturned phone calls and missed appointments and still haven't gotten my shower fixed.
