3 strikes and I am out. 1) I visited the website and submitted a request for a quote & visit. Heard nothing back. 2) Called 3-4 days later for an update to online request. I was told I would get a call back the next day. Nothing. 3) Called back 7-8 days later and was told I would get a call back same day. Nothing. So, I decided to go with another business. Very disappointed at customer service and false promises of a call back.

It went very well. The old roof and gutters were stripped and the new roof was done the same day. They replaced the gutters a few days later in about 4 hours.

Roof install was good. However, we rains started in Oregon, we had a leak in the flashing at the fireplace pipe. Tried contacting the rep. for one week with no replies to phone or text mails.

Initially the contact was punctual, but after paying the down payment which was 1/2, I had trouble getting in touch with anyone. When I called the office multiple times I was finally told my initial contact person was out on sick leave, but no one contacted me to tell me to call someone else. When I tried to call the new contact person, the owner, I again got no response for almost a week. When he finally called back, he explained that his daughter was getting married. I felt like I kept getting excuses. The job started the beginning of August and lasted about 1 wk. I was never sure who was in charge on the site. I would as questions such as about the skylight and would be told one thing, then the next day someone new would be around and didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about. I wasn't kept up to date on the progress and I assume there were no issues since no one said anything. Lastly, when they finished I was told repeatedly that they would go over the ground with a magnet to get any stray staples they dropped. This did NOT happen. Since then i have found at least 20 staples just lying on the ground. As soon as the job finished, there was someone here to get paid. I explained that I need a final inspection. Suddenly the owner of the business showed up to "make sure everything was done right." Overall, it felt unorganized, unprofessional and that they were only interested in my money.

I have used Legacy Roofing in the past and they were fantastic. Not the case this time. I called them out to look at a loose roof tile. They came right away. This was back on May 19th. On May 19th they indicated that they needed some additional materials so they could fix some damage caused by birds. They said they would be back the following week. That week came and went. When I contacted them, they said they were busy and would be back the following week. That time came and went. After leaving messages for a few days I finally reached the owner who said he was on vacation and he asked me to contact the office. Over the next two weeks of my proactive calling, I reached someone that was extremely apologetic and said he would personally ensure the job was taken care of. On July 3rd, this person left me a voice mail, apologizing again for the delay. He said "I will contact you early next week, we will schedule the time later next week and get this taken care of for you once and for all". Over the next three weeks I called both of my contacts at Legacy Roofing as well as texting to determine if they were ever coming back. No calls returned / no messages returned until July 20th. I received a message from the owner statin "I'm sorry. I've been on vacation for some time. I thought this was already handled. I know we are super busy. You should probably find someone else if you need it done anytime soon. At this point we are out til September. My issue is not that they are too busy to do the job.. If that's the case, just let me know. But making promises to be out, not returning calls, stating they thought the job was done when I had been leaving messages for two months... simply unacceptable.

I made an appointment to have work done on our porch roof, as it was leaking. I was out of town and made special arrangements to come back early to be there for the appointment. No one ever showed up, called, or returned phone calls or emails. 5 days later I received an email asking to reschedule the work because weather prevented them from doing the work on the appointed day. I was never told beforehand that weather could delay the work. (It was just cold out.) The provider apologized and agreed to a $199 discount, plus clean the gutters, so I had them proceed with the work. After the very next rain the roof still leaked. I contacted the provider two more times through Angie's List and never received a response. So, I just paid the invoice and washed my hands of them. We will be hiring someone else more reliable to complete the repairs.

Did not do any maintenance just advised reroofing. I ask for an estimate and never heard another word from them.

The first appointment made had to be rescheduled. The second appointment was set, but an ice storm made it necessary to reschedule due to safety concerns. The third appointment was set between 2 and 4 in the afternoon of a Friday. About 15 minutes until 4 I called to find out their ETA and was told they thought the roofer had already performed the inspection. I explained they hadn't shown up yet, the roofer was tracked down, and I was told we would have to have a fourth reschedule because the previous job had run over. They were willing to come out on Sunday to perform the inspection, which is the only positive thing about the scheduling process. It was very difficult getting ahold of someone during this entire process. During the inspection I was told my skylight was leaking and had to be replaced. The inspector placed some plastic over the skylight to temporarily stop additional leaks, and gave a very generic quote. I was told he does not handle the money issues and I would be receiving a quote from the owner in a couple of days. On Thursday I tried calling after receiving no quote, left a message, and still have received no quote. I sent a message a couple of days later asking about the status of the quote, and have received no response. I now have plastic covering my skylight and have to go elsewhere to get service. I was happy with the service performed, and was willing to overlook the prolonged scheduling issues, but the communication is non-existent. I can't get ahold of anyone to see how much it would cost to fix my skylight. It is disappointing that they don't seem to want my business after the initial inspection.

Then an apology, followed by no other communications.

Nice guy, courteous and prompt. For the $99 deal I got about 10 minutes of leaf blowing and tar around a vent. Took about 10 minutes. He said I needed a moss treatment. I asked if he did that, he said yes.. I went ahead and paid him an additional $100 for a can of moss treatment put on the roof . Took about 10 minutes. I agreed to it because I just wanted to get it done and he was already there. He did not pressure me to do it. I was happy with his work but I thought $199 for approximately 20 minutes work seemed excessive.

completed the job on time and in budget would like to say that in my lifetime, I have had several roofs replaced. Legacy roofing in Forest grove has given the best service that I have ever had. They showed up on time. gave a very good inspection and recommendations. Did the job on time and within budget Cleaned up after the job so good that you would never know that a roofer had been here. The owner, Donnie, was very professional, and personable. If I were to EVER have another roofing job done, I would have them do it. Jim Simmons

It went very well. The men came to the door and asked me if there was anything else they could do. They also hung up a broken gutter for me. Fast and thorough.

Legacy has been my go to company for lots of jobs around the house. I have a 30 year old house that needs lots of TLC and I call Donnie any time I need a project done. They call themselves Legacy Roofing but they do much more than that. He's done fencing, decking, minor plumbing repairs, roof repairs, flooring, shower install, tile. All great work with attention to detail. In fact he goes above and beyond to make surethings are done right, not just slap it together and call it good like some guys. His guys clean up after themselves and are very polite. I would use Legacy for any projects around the house.

Overall, the job went very well. Once we signed the contract, the crew was out to our home within the week to begin the project. The entire project took about 3.5 days. Each day, we were pleased that all the debris was cleaned up from around the house. Donnie had suggested we replace the skylight since the roof would be torn off and easier to get to. He was the only person who recommended this and we took his advice. He also showed us some rusting on a chimney cap and suggested we replace that as well. Unfortunately, as of the writing of this review, that has not been done despite my contacting him and asking about it. Right after the roof was replaced, the winter storms hit with snow and massive rain. We haven't noticed any leaking or problems with the roof. I would recommend Legacy Roofing to friends/family who are looking to replace their roof!

Very friendly, had lots of information, and a really nice person and very professional.

I needed a bid for a roof repair. Legacy sent out an estimator who showed up on time, did not try to sell me something I didn't need, and actually fixed my problem merely with a visit to my roof. I had debris causing water to enter my wall, and he removed it. The water leak stopped, so I did not have further work done. If I need roof repair or replacement, I will certainly call them to do the work.

Roof looks great, informed me about flashing in areas that water could come in some day and explained how he made it better. Did a very good job, would hire them again.

The roof started leaking almost immediately. I called him and notified him about the problem. He did come back numerous times trying to fix it, over a period of 3 years. He refused to acknowledge that it was botched work. They also installed full insulation in the entire house, and 6 windows. He installed 5 solar tubes, which leaked. The kitchen leaked; the master bedroom leaked. The area around the fireplace leaked. This created a mold problem. He had replaced the ridge vents twice. To repair the water intrusion, he removed the drywall and insulation to try and fix it, trying to repair it from the inside. Then he just left, saying he ran out of money. I had to take him to court, and did win. After having inspectors come in course of this, we discovered that they did not correctly install the ridge vent, which contributed to the mold problem. They considered the cause of the problem to be the botched work with the ventilation, venting and roofing. Out of 6 windows that he installed, I had to have 3 re-installed because they leaked.

The work was done on time, they kept the yard clean. The work was done to fit our schedule. Considering all that was done I think the price was quite reasonable,. It was great to have a roofing company that could do so many other things in our home at the same time.

Had Donnie out to provide us with an estimate. He arrived about 15 minutes early, stayed for about 20 minutes, ad then said he would get back to us in a few days with a quote after checking with suppliers. We never heard from him again.

Overall, the project went very well. During the quote phase, we had met with several roofing companies to provide quotes for the job. Donnie was one of only three that took the time to come into the house and look at the roof from the attic space. On his original visit it was already after dark. Donnie went out of his way to make it back to our home the following day to inspect outside of the roof in the daylight. When received Donnie's quote the price was mid range for all the offers we had seen with comparable service. Donnie took the time to talk with us regarding all of our questions. Often times we asked detailed questions that forced Donnie to describe the logic and reasoning behind the stages, products and process of roofing. When discussing price with Donnie, were able to negotiate replacement of gutters into the bid. During the days of the actual job, it was mentioned most morning that a few to several more "guys" were scheduled to show up but this never actually happened. The crew worked very hard pulling off the two layers of shingles and replacing several of the original decking pieces that had swelled with moisture and mildew. During the job we only experienced two unexpected oversights; the exposed edges of our dutch hips were missing facia boards and chimney column had more rot that was expected. Donnie advised us on both issues and we utilized his knowledge and skill to remedy both issues. The job overall could have been completed in 2 to 3 days if Donnie had a large crew, however as the crew ranged from 2 to 5 during the days the project actually took 6 days to complete. Upon completion, there was a mathematical error that resulted in an overpayment. Donnie was quick to remedy the issue and provide a refund. To date, it has now rained several days and there is no evidence of issues or problems with the performance of the roof, shingles or gutters.

He seemed alright. He was prompt.

Called them about a leaking roof. Got the answering machine three time and left three message. Never received a call back.
