Fantastic experience. Jay Bentley responded right away to get the repairs scheduled. They were right on time and whipped through the work with time left over. Jay filled the time by checking the breakers and checking for other safety issues. I'd use them again and they are now on the top of my call list for any electrical needs.

He came when he said he would and completed everything a timely manner. He also made some recommendations for safety upgrades and leaves his work area cleaned up. He offers reasonable pricing and I have recommended his service to others.

They knew what they were doing and worked really fast. Figured out the problem in our electric fence to keep out raccoons. They were very nice and professional and I will hire them again.

Jay came out and took time to map out the project & make suggestions. His estimate was given to my general contractor who too care of Bill-work was done quickly to my specifications & with meeting county codes.

Came as scheduled. Completed work in one day and did good job.

I attempted to install a motion sensor light switch on my own. It would not work even thought I thought everything looked fine. I called Bentley Electric to come fix my "do it yourself" job. They scheduled a service call for the next day. The electrician arrived promptly and was courteous. He quickly corrected by incorrect connections and got the light switch working properly. He also looked at a light which I had concerns about overheating and gave me some easy, expert advice on the lighting. Service and experience was reasonable, professional, and perfect in every way. I will absolutely use Bentley Electric again.

Not that well--the quality of the work was not very good.

Jay and his assistant were great to work with-they took on challenging situations that were left from previous work. Jay did not comment negatively on previous work, they simply fixed it and brought our home up to code. Very easy to work with, and very industrious.

He also explained all the work that he was doing and kept me informed. The inspection by the county gave thumbs up with no changes. I will be using Bentley Electrice for all my electrical projects in the future! I would highly recommend his company to anyone!!!! I have used other electrical companies that were recommended and I was very disappointed. So this one is the Very Best!!!!!!

I had arcing or sparking coming from a junction box in my garage so I called Bentleys on Monday morning and they responded that afternoon.

Jay has performed a variety of electrical requests for us over the years. He has always been punctual, fast, attentive (a VERY GOOD LISTENER) a star performer; and would be our first choice if we were hiring an electrician. Because we had hired a separate design/build contractor to perform a recent major addition/remodel on our house, the builder hired his own people, including the electrician. Toward the end of the job the contractor ran into financial difficulties and we found ourselves taking full responsibility to get the job finished and final inspections made. We noticed electrical problems in that the breaker tripped often at precarious times...our hunch was that it was overloaded and at this point we felt we needed an unbiased review with a different electrician. We called Jay to get an assessment; Jay reported after testing that the breaker in the master was definitely overloaded--we asked him to correct the problem. We had gone through a lot of turmoil, concerns and fear as our builder began to fail, and it was extremely reassuring to have Jay and his son come to our home, talk with us, propose a solution, and remedy the situation. They were very complimentary about the project itself, the design of the interior space, the materials and craftsmanship. We were amazed how quickly they sped through the job especially considering they had to get above the rafters to run new electrical wire, etc. They were neat, appropriate, and commented in positive ways when possible about the work our prior electrician had performed. No badmouthing. Much appreciated. More than anything, we were glad to get this problem corrected. As for Bentley Electric? Again, a class act.

Our home is now much better lit and our ceiling fan and bath fans are up and running perfectly again. They arrived promptly and cleaned up when the work was completed. We will call them again for any electrical needs we have in our home!

Both electricians arrived on time. They got right to work and finished the job as estimated. Very professional, clean and friendly.

It seemed to go very well overall. Really, the only issue on our end (if you even want to call it an issue) is cosmetic work that needs to be done around the existing pegboard as a result of replacing the old electrical panel. That is only because the new panel is a different size from the old one and we just need to patch in pegboard around the new panel. Jay and his hard working assistant John spent 13.5 energetic man hours getting the work done easily in the day. My wife who was there observed only diligent, accurate, high quality, attention to detail work. Here is a summary of the improvements we experienced: * A dramatic improvement in family room lighting, by the numbers a 25% increase in light output, equivalent of dispersing an additional 75W of light througout the room. However, the improvement seen is much greater than that due to inherent ineffeciencies of the old lights. * Breaking off and adding new circuits should greatly reduce the incidences of tripped breakers. The leaf blower is frequently in use, for example, and can use it's own circuit. (By the way, I may not have mentioned I wanted this to Jay, but Jay provided it as an additional creative solution to an annoying problem. Yea! * The new panel leaves plenty of room to add new circuits. The old was at capacity. * Also, Jay noticed the old panel contained incorrect or incompatible breakers and violated current codes. Very professional and well done job. And if that isn't enough, it passed the Washington County inspection with flying colors. Here are 2 things the inspector pointed out: * He said, "Jay, oh yeah, I always pass his work. He always does it right." * He also pointed out the failure to have replaced the old electrical panel would have been a mistake and we would have had to replace it anyway before we sold the house. The old one was not up to code and would have failed inspection and held up the sale.

This is my second time using Bentley Electric. (the other job was totally unrelated to this issue.) Our old box had been acting up for some time and it was finally time to just replace it. I had been stalling because I figured it would be a mess integrating the new one with additional switching panel that "zones" the house for use with a large generator in the garage. Called Jay on Monday morning and he came out early that same afternoon to look at it and get dimentions and check the incoming line to check it's amperage capabilities before deciding what size new box to use. (The old contractor years ago had installed a 200 amp box which way exceeded to capability of the main line coming in from the power pole!) Once that was done he scheduled me for the install the following day. Jay and his work partner showed up on time the next day, did the install, cleaned up, tested the system and mapped out the house so we could finally know EXACTALLY which breakers connected to every area of the house, and then went on their way. Once again, fast, friendly and good work at a very fair price.

Exceptional service! Jay made a special (and unexpected) after-hours service call, found the problem and fixed it. Very conscientious and professional. Reasonable cast.

He arrived on time and gave us many different options for the set up. We said we wanted something simple and gave him an exact description of the job we required (location and number of lights). The guy seemed not happy about this, he probably understood we wanted to compare his bid to others. Anyway, he was supposed to send us a bid but never did it. The job would have been close to 2000 dollars.

They were easy to work with and we were happy with them. They were willing to listen to what we wanted and if there was something we thought wasn't right they would correct it and things like that. I think they are a good company. We have thought about calling them for another job.

Called early on the morning of New Years eve (Friday). Got the answering machine and figured they took the pre-holiday off and would call me the following Monday morning. Waited till noon on Monday and called them again. I got Jay and he said this week for sure, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday and that he would call me when he had a better idea of how his weed was working out. Didn't hear from him until Wednesday early afternoon when he called and said he was in the area and would I be home. I was home and he was here in about 30 minutes. I felt a lack of good communication when he had not called me back before then to give me a clue when he might be here. That is the total of me being pickey...... All the rest of the experience was the typical excellent service that Jay provides. He did a great trouble shooting job and isolated the problem to a poorly wired box in the attic! Given all the tracking it took to find the problem I am amazed at how quickly he zoomed in to the actual issue and repaired it. He is always friendly, efficient and explains exactly what he is doing. He also leaves no mess behind. The price was very fair as well. I have always been a little fussy about timely phone responses and assume that the small issue here was due to it being a really busy time of year. So my advice is that if you don't hear back from Jay right away......hang on and be patient........He's a really good guy who does great work at a fair price.

It was a true pleasure dealing with Bentley electric -- everything you would want from a contractor. The price was competative with other contractors, and the quality was good. What I really liked was that the person who provided the estimate was the same as the person who did the work, so I knew exactly who I was dealing with and who would be coming to the house. They were very helpful in the project planning and worked with me to price out different options. I would recommend Bentley electric very highly.
