Description of Work: J&K has been my go to electrical company for many years. There have been several times that I or my family have hired them and ended up paying them more than what they quoted because they did such a great job. Recently however the last couple of jobs that I have hired them for have been less than impressive. They left messes behind & divots in my yard and driveway. They Busted my sprinkler system after I asked them to please be very careful not to bust any pipes in the ground when digging. They came back to fix it eventually but not till after several calls. The outdoor Outlets they installed however are constantly blowing the breaker Even with the lowest wattage LED lights. Most recently I called them to get a quote on installing 6 outdoor lights. I told him that I had already purchased the mounting blocks from Jerrys and painted them. He originally quoted me 5 to $600 and to that I said ok well never mind that’s too much so I will get my contractor friend to do it for me instead. And he said well I think we could probably do it for $300 & they could come out within the next day or two. To which I agreed. I also told him that my contractor friend had told me that they would need a special saw to cut into the siding and he stated that he would make sure they had that in the truck for the job. They came out and installed the lights. When I came home they had left a giant mess of sawdust and scraps from my siding all over the side of my house & porch & all over the place. There were several areas where they had scratched off the paint from my house as well. When I called to complain they sent someone out to clean it up & after caulking around the lights they stated that they would be back to paint it once it was dry. They Called me once a few weeks later to let me know they would be over the next day to paint but then never showed up to finish the job. I then received a bill for $900! When I called to ask what it was about they tried to state that the job was bigger than They had realized and took longer than they had anticipated. He stated to me that the quote over the phone was not a “hard quote“ Even though I was very clear that I would not pay 5 to $600 for the job and agreed when we settled on $300 Which constitutes a verbal agreement. He continued to argue with me very rudely that a phone quote was not an actual “hard quote” and that he was not going to “eat $600” But expected me to. I told him I am a self employed single mom & I don’t have extra money to be throwing around because they made a mistake & quoted the job wrong. Apparently their word is worth nothing anymore these days even though this company used to be Trustworthy & have integrity. It’s clear that has been lost recently under the new Managment.

Description of Work: Installed lighting, inspected electrical in new home & consultation on further work
