FAIRVIEW GARAGE DOORS

Chris installed a new double garage door for our home. He did a terrific job and we wouldn't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others.

Very pleased with the service they provided. Very thorough. I appreciated that they pointed out a potential problem with the door or by putting up the metal strip.

The work was excellent. I don't recall exactly what had happened but it was a matter of time and wear, and the mechanism needed a tune-up. The door not only works again, it's more quiet than it was when new.

Very professional, plus he explains what he is going to do and the cost before he starts. I would always use his services.

It went very well. I had contacted Chris due to feedback from another customer. I had a slightly lower bid but was glad we selected Fairview. He diagnosed the problem and told me the problem and how he could make both motors work. He arrived on time for the bid and for the work. Both doors have been working great for a month. He was able to get both motors working on a single remote and we are very happy with his work.

Very smooth install from start to finish. Prompt and knows his business. Cheaper than the big box stores. Would not hesitate to hire again. Also referred him to my son for his door repairs.

Chris came out the same day I called him and preformed all work himself in a professional manner. He did not delegate the job to someone else. His price was very fair and the quality of his work was excellent. He listened to all my concerns and did everything I requested and more. I requested service from Chris at "Fairview Garage Doors" because I knew my door tension springs were out of proper adjustment. The door was very difficult to manually lift open after pulling the release lever and would not stay up in any position. I knew this was not good for the door, the opener, or myself when trying to get my car out of the garage on one of the numerous power outages I had in Gresham this winter. ( 4 already this winter from PGE) I would not hesitate to call Chris again for service.

Chris came promptly and did the work quickly. His prices are reasonable - cheaper than the people that the large home improvenment stores send out. I will use him again whenever the need arises.

After calling around and getting multiple bids we decided to go with Fairvew Garage. Every company we talked to seem to have their own spin on how to replace our ancient garage door that would no longer open and is larger than the standard size. Chris had the best approach and the most reasonable price. We are very happy with our new garage door!

I have had Chris fix (which he gladly did considering how old my equipment was) & then a few years later finally replace my machine. I've also had him do work at my elderly fathers home. Prompt, courteous & a good value for the work done. Very happy.

Chris was very professional right from the start. He was recommended to us by our son-in-law who found Chris on Angie's list and we were very pleased with Chris's work. He installed a beautiful new door with windows at the top and it looks great. He also installed a new door opener that is quiet and efficient. His price for the opener and door was very competitive and he was quick and efficient in his installation. He removed our old door and left the garage neat and clean. We highly recommend him.

We solicited four different companies for estimates to install two new garage door openers. We have a two car garage with two small, single-car garage doors (7'x8' I believe). One of the doors had a very old opener that still functioned, but it was loud and we had no remote control for the unit. Chris was the ONLY person/company who didn't try and convince us that we needed larger, more powerful (and more expensive) openers. In fact, by the time we contacted Chris, I had heard the justifications for a 3/4 hp opener (rather than a 1/2 hp opener) explained/justified so many times that I solicited Chris to price a 3/4 hp opener for us. Chris asked about the size of the doors and told us he saw no reason for us to pay more for a larger unit that we didn't need - now or in the future even if we decided to replace the garage doors. Chris explained that even if we purchased a newer and heavier door, the 1/2 hp would be plenty because of the small size of the doors. I was impressed that Chris basically talked me out of buying a more expensive opener and we decided to go with him. Chris explained the differences between chain and belt driven units and didn't try to push us in either direction. We opted for the belt drive simply because they are quieter. We scheduled an appointment for the installation about a week out. Chris called the morning of the appointment to let us know his estimated arrival time. He showed up and went right to work. He removed the old opener and wall control (and disposed of them as well!) and installed the two new openers, the wall controllers and an exterior wireless control pad. He helped us program the remotes (so that each remote could independently control both doors) and the exterior control pad (which also operated both doors). Chris had quoted us a price for the openers and installation but went above and beyond by servicing, adjusting and lubricating both of the old doors (original from 1977!). We will definitely use Chris and Fairview Garage Doors again for any of our garage door needs!

Chris has done several projects for me in the past, replaced my garage door, repaired my garage door opener and this time installed a new opener. He is prompt, and gets the job done at the time and price he promises. Each time I have called he has been out within a day. Chris at Fairview Garage Doors was great! His work was excellent, he was professional, honest, and he did a thorough clean-up. Chris did everything my husband had requested--and my husband's very picky. We originally needed a spring repair and wanted a quote on garage door openers. After Chris answered all my husband's questions, we hired him for both the repair and went ahead with openers. Chris was honest and not pushy, which was appreciated. The final bill was what was quoted, no surprises. He went over all the instructions and maintenance. He also backs his work. We'd recommend Chris and Fairview Garage Doors to anyone who needs garage door repair or new openers. This was our first Angie's List experience, and it won't be our last.

Chris Jones was very easy to work with, from initial estimate to the final project being completed. We told him we'd like a traditional carriage style door and we went with a stained door with composite trim and windows that fit the description. We couldn't be more pleased with the door and new opener (with remotes) and love the way it looks on our English style garage.

Chris was great I initially just ordered the door from Fairview, then after talking to him I decided I had too many projects going on, so I decided to have him install it. He was flexible and was able to install the door at my schedule. Showed up on time, completed the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up the area. He had to work in a very cluttered area as we had just moved, and the garage was still packed with boxes and furniture, as well as working around the team completing the siding.

He's fairly priced and his work is excellent.

He was very willing to work with us. He is a very nice guy. When the door got here we knew we were going to have to paint it, but when it arrived it was not primed, so we had to prime it too. Then he stacked the doors and the paint rubbed off so he came and sanded the doors and helped us repaint it. He is a great guy to deal with because it was a major mistake that he made. With supervision, I will use him again in the future.

I called Chris to fix our garage door because he was highly recommended. He was familiar with this home which we had just purchased. He immediately recogized the problem. The next day he installed a tube under the spring since the original had become warped. In addition, he sold us a new remote and paired it with our opener. I recommend him highly - he is my guy for garage door fixes.
