Matt of AAA Bathtub Refinishing was to properly prep our tub before the refinishing by removing all caulk, and because an old piece was left, when it was pulled out after the job, it left a built-up line of bonded paint that does not reach under the tile edge line, looks terrible, and leaves the job unfinished. There is also another spot that was not properly refinished, and we don't know what this is from--there is nothing we could have done to cause it. When we showed him these issues with pictures the day after, he claimed that it was because my husband did not follow his instructions, namely waiting 24 hours to remove the tape. He did actually do it several hours early, but it was definitely dry, and there is only one place where this specific problem occurred--where there was old caulk that he should have been removed prior to the job (the other issue had nothing to do with this). We saved the piece of caulk that caused this to show him, but Matt is refusing to come back and repair these problems unless we pay him an additional $189. This information was exchanged via an email with my husband. I called and left him a voicemail, asking that he call to discuss, and he did not return my call. My husband then emailed and asked him reduce this $189 fee by half to repair these issues, even though we did not cause the damage. He never replied. He did not properly do the job, and then did not follow up with us, providing terrible customer service. Do not hire this company.
