+ -1 moreSo far the new roof is good. Our only complaint was the increase in cost. Some notice that it was going to cost so much more would have been appreciated.
Description of Work: I think River Roofing did a good job with the new roof. They were working on it in the fall so there were days when they were not able to work because of rain. They had told us we needed to replace some of the wood because of dry rot. Most of it involved wood on the eves. We agreed to have them do the repair work including painting the new wood that could be seen easily. The original quote was $6200.00. We new it would be more because of the additional work and my husband called and asked where we were at with the cost. He was told that he (I think he was the owner of the company) had not had a chance to look at the figures yet and would get back to us later. The next thing we heard was a final bill of $9200.00. We were really surprised at the huge increase in the bill and would have appreciated a little advanced notice. We could have decided to do the painting ourselves to save money. I think most business people notify their customers when they are running that much over the original quote.

+ -1 moreStarted a month late after several phone calls. David didn't have man power. Second day on job Roy (owner) came to the door & said that he underbid & wanted $1500 more. He then pulled his crew. I got an attorney & Roy finished the job.
Description of Work: Re-roof cedar shake roof area with 3-tab as per contrast.
