So i don't normally leave reviews but this place and their professionalism/customer service is atrocious. I went through my homewarranty about sinks being clogged well Doug apparently the owner calls me asks me about the work order which apparently was only for the kitchen sink and not the bathroom sinks, tells me to call my home warranty and have them update the order as he will only do whats on the order. So i call my home warranty and update the orser. Doug then calls me back about the new order and said that he couldnt possibly fit all that in the friday appointment and that itd have to be for monday intead. I said i didnt know about switching the appointment to monday and to let me speak with my husband well life got in the way and i wasnt able to call them back thinking well thatll just keep my friday appointment for the kitchen sink.... welp WRONG. that cancelled all appointments. I contacted the office today when i hadnt heard anything and the appointment window was near an end i got a rude as **** dispatcher DJ who cut me off during my question and explanation raised his voice said that not what doug said and i advised i didnt care for a he said she said situation to which he raised his voice called me rude and that no one would be coming out EVER. i advised i wanted to speak to the manager when i was ingormed doug owned the spot. I asked for doug to call me back. Doug calls the call is cordial and he calls me a liar and that he already called my home warranty yeaterday to advise of the hassle of the situation. And that he aggreed with DJ that the job was too much hassle to come out and disconnected the call. The is the rudest most unprofessional company i have ever had the unfortunate luck of dealing with. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. If i could there would be no stars in my review...what so ever.

I take the writing of business reviews very seriously as I know how much people rely on these now. I also aim to be very accurate and also wait a few days for the company to right the wrong, rather than posting out of my initial disappointment. We received a verbal bid from The Plumbing Works after being connected with them through our home warranty, while preparing our home for sale. We approved the bid and scheduled the work. They never sent an invoice for the bid visit, which was only $75. The other companies that we were working with, once we agreed to hire them, just rolled the nominal bid fee into the final invoice which we paid all at once. (Most applied it to the work.) When we didn’t get an invoice we assumed since we hired them they were doing the same thing. As far as the repairs, we were advised that we could pay by credit card before hand via phone or in person on the day of service. (We have this in writing). After thinking about it, we found it odd that they wanted us to pay for all the work before they did it. Materials would make sense, but not the actual work. We had initially considered calling it in, but decided to wait since the work hadn’t been done, plus the job was still far out. No indication was given that there was urgency behind this mentioned pre-payment option. My husband even had a lengthy conversation with someone from the staff discussing the work we were hiring them to do. Nothing was mentioned then about any urgency or concerns with our job. We received one garbled message from them before the holiday weekend, which sounded like they were calling to schedule the work. (It had already been scheduled). I couldn’t make out the callers name but did hear the company name and “schedule”. Before I could return the one message they left this Tuesday morning, they called our realtor and canceled our appointment, which was still a week away. They stated it was because we hadn’t called in pre-payment. Even though they had told us we could pay on the day the work was done. I have personally known our realtor (top in Lane County) for more than two decades and know she is honest. Plumbing works has now put us in a very bad bind, as the sale on our house is about to close, but it is contingent to these repairs being done, and now other plumbers are booked too far out for our timeline. Our realtor, who is also shocked any company would do this, even offered to pay the owner immediately over the phone herself and the owner claimed he didn’t feel comfortable doing the work because we hadn’t returned the one message or sent in the $75 (which they never sent an invoice on and still haven’t.) We all still can’t figure out what the owners problem was? If it was money, she offered to pay while he was on the phone??? The only idea we could come up with is maybe they underbid the job? Have a huge cash flow problem?? No clue, just speculating. So consumers considering using The Plumbing Works, beware. Ask for your bid in writing and repeatedly ask to be invoiced as they don’t seem to provide either. (Even after all this, we still have never gotten an invoice). Also, know that even if they make an appt for your work to be done at their first available opening, and tell you that you can pay then, it is not the case. You should be willing to prepay them weeks before they do the work. Don’t you wish you got paid before you did your work? Plus, they may very well leave you with no one to do the work, and let you see just how unprofessional the owner is. It’s a shame, because his staff seemed very nice. We will not be recommending this company to anyone.

I could not be happier with this company. Their prices are very competitive, their customer service is excellent as are the products they sell. This is the 2nd time in a month that I have purchased something from them (the 1st time was a new toilet). I would certainly recommend them to anyone and will undoubtedly use them again. Just a couple of days after a bought this garbage disposal, another company in my area advertised the exact same item for $174.00 more than I paid. That's a considerable difference to anyone much less someone on a fixed income.

Agreed it was probably the dip tube. Replaced dip tube with minimal difficulty. Gave excellent advice on extracting sprinkler head broken threaded connector. Didn't have tool to extract threaded piece. I did it later. My only complaint was the added charge of office to door time. Had done all work within an hour but had added 25 mins time for travel at shop full rate. Wasn't told this when appointment was made.

Plumbing Works was contracted by First American Home Warranty to come out and look into a main water line break in our front yard. After arriving, and charging me $65.00 (instead of correct amount of $60.00) Andrew looked at the leak and called First American. He told me they said it wasn't covered so I asked him if he could do the work and what it would cost. He quoted me 4 hours at $93.00 an hour. I asked if I needed to sign anything and he said no. After 1.5 hours he came to the door and said there were to many roots and wasn't sure what he should do!! He wanted me to come look. My sister-in-law and I went out to look and yes there were some roots because the leak was right next to a very large tree!! I started digging around and looking for the pipe myself while Andrew watched. Eventually we came to the conclusion that he wasn't going to be able to get the job done so I told him to not worry about it I would find someone else. At that point I went into the house and he sat in his van for another 45 minutes!! Eventually Andrew came to the door with a bill for 2.5 hours!! I tried to explain that the last 45 minutes he was just sitting in his van! He said he was on the phone looking into what else can be done, something I didn't ask him to do as I already had another company to call! After he left I called the office and they replied that he could charge for that and there was nothing I could do!! I would NEVER EVER recommend Plumbing Works to anyone and will tell all my friends to not call them. They overcharged and didn't finish the work! I could go on but long story short, I would like to thank Myron at Drainmaster who came out, found the leak, dug it up and it was fixed in a couple hours!!

Everything went fast. Within about a 10 day period, they came out and assessed the work, submitted a bid, and completed the work. The technician was very polite and thorough. They came up with two possible ways to run the water line and we had a good conversation, pros and cons, to arrive at the preferred method. The method was to begin the line, complete with a shutoff valve, under the kitchen sink and run it under the floor to the opposite side of the kitchen where my fridge was. I'm very pleased with the arrangement and how the work was accomplished.

Andrew was very good, reallly knows his stuff, and went into detail regarding what he did and why. Also offered info as to what we could do ourselves to keep things going well. House was built in 1951 and plumbing is quite old but was quality at the time.

.I used The Plumbing Works, who were on time, reasonable, i didn't feel cheated and they explained everything very well. They are also very knowledgeable and amazing. The Plumbing Works are really excellent.

Work was done on two separate visits to our vacant rental unit. The dishwasher and disposal were installed without a hitch, and much quicker than we thought it would take. In addition, the plumber finished installing a new bathroom vanity faucet and diagnosed and fixed a problem with the shower. The second visit was to install a toilet to replace the cracked one found on the previous visit. He discovered that the one we had ordered wouldn't completely cover the floor's vinyl, so let us know and we ordered another, more expensive, brand and he installed it promptly. Our only complaint was that the plumber didn't clean up after himself, leaving oily residue in the sink and debris on the floor; nonetheless, we'll call the Plumbing Works again because overall they performed well.

They were terrific. On time. Told me the cost. Did the installation. Cleaned up.

Jim did a good job. He was pleasant and professional. However the person who made the appointment forgot to schedule it. I waited two and a half hours before calling to find this out. He said that he must have lost the and quot;scrapand quot; of paper he wrote it on. We rescheduled for the next day. On Angie's List they advertise a 10% discount for seniors but he told me they haven't done that for a couple of years. They did give me a 5% discount on labor. Company is too sloppy to inspire a lot of confidence. Plumber was great.

It went very well. Sorry I cant really elaborate, all issues are fixed. That made our renters happy.

I called my insurance company about a plumbing leak and I had some other contractor come out and he told me I didn't have a plumbing leak. I didn't agree with this so I called my insurance company to have another contractor come out for a second opinion. Kenny from The Plumbing Works, came out to look at the leak. He took the whole back board off the shower to actually see what was going on back there, and lo and behold, it was my shower leaking due to a bad caulking job! I was impressed at how thorough he was and he even gave me tips about how to fix it myself. My insurance company wasn't going to cover me for the repair, so this is why he didn't complete it. I would definitely call this company again if I need a plumber again.

Plumber arrived on time, finished the work early and charged about $200 below the estimate.

Work was good except for two things: (1) there was a delay because the rental company that Doug had asked to deliver a backhoe didn't follow through. We all waited for another rental company to deliver a backhoe. (2) Doug didn't use sand or crushed rock to stabilize the new plastic sewer pipe. I though that was required by the city. Also the work was not inspected, again causing me some concern. Doug assured me that everything was OK, but I still wonder.

I just moved and wanted to replace the toilets. I called Plumbing Works on a Wednesday afternoon. They scheduled me for the next morning at 9am. I wasn't home but my daughter was (she is a very harsh critic) and was really pleased with their work and clean-up. She told me to keep this company in mind for the future.

I called my home warranty company and asked about plumbers and they recommended PW. Both workers were on time and very professional, reliable and helpful.

Owner and his helper showed up 45 mins. late for our pre-arranged appointment, hadn't even bothered to call to let us know he was running late. He had an attitude and smart mouth........besides horrible body odor! I told him to leave my home!

I really appreciated the time he took. Initially he thought it was a thermostat problem which would have required $100 in parts, but after looking further, it ended up being a simple adjustment.
