 + -1 moreI always check with Robin first, whether I need a computer, accessory, tech support or troubleshooting. They simply never lead me astray. Both Robin and Larry have decades of professional experience, which makes them a very valuable asset in our Eugene community.
Description of Work: I have known both Robin and Larry for years, and have bought both their services and products many times, and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future. They are both very professional, knowledgeable and experienced, are always courteous, and honest (a rare thing in today's business world). If every business followed their exemplary example, the world would indeed be a much better place.

 + -1 moreTech-Medic was the first name that came to mind when I needed help. As before, Larry and Robin were candid, clear and helpful, both in the work they performed and their explanations (to a computer dummy). They're patient and friendly, too. There were a couple of short delays because they had to wait for parts to come in, but that's not within their control. These are extremely knowledgeable, competent guys who are willing to go the extra mile to be of help. Good service still lives!
Description of Work: There were two separate issues that came up around the same time: 1. I decided it was time to get a back-up system, so ordered an external hard drive and case. 2. The screen of my trusty iPod went weird. Larry found me a 1 TB drive and case for about $210, and when I brought on my laptop, he partitioned it for Time Machine and, using SuperDuper, a bootable backup, and coached me on how to set up everything. All that went as easily as he said it would. Robin examined the iPod and discovered that the LCD screen had cracked because the battery had generated gases that cause its covering to expand, pushing against the LCD screen. He replaced the screen and the battery for about $89.

Description of Work: When my Apple laptop suddenly got very strange and flickery, I called around to see how different computer services listed in the yellow pages responded. The people at TechMedic were clear, calm and knowledgeable, so I took it to them. Their diagnosis was completed promptly, and they took time and were thorough in explaining my various choices, as they saw the problem. They are very familiar and current with Apple computers. I chose to get a new laptop, and when it came, Larry downloaded the contents of my old hard drive, and later somehow figured out how to move my iTunes music library to the new system with no loss. They have suggested a large external hard drive with good back-up software, and since the price seems quite reasonable, I plan to have them do the work. It's always good to find competent, pleasant and reasonably priced help,
