The crew was prompt, courteous, and efficient, and did an excellent job.

Came out and gave a free estimate, with options for how much work we wanted and could afford. Plus walked through the yard and provided a quick health check on our other trees. We scheduled the the appointment, and the crew showed up right on time. The work was done quickly and the cleanup was fantastic. This was the second project we had done by them, had a couple trees removed last year with stump removal. They gave an estimate, again with options for how much work we wanted done. They showed up on time, took out the trees and stumps and left us the wood for later burning (our option).

We live in the country and have had problems in the past getting anyone to come give an estimate to us-not so with Sperry Tree Service. Nathaniel arrived promptly and very pleasantly followed us around as we described what needed to be done and he also offered suggestions to us about the services needed. We received his bid (and were pleasantly surprised by the cost) in a very timely manner and accepted it and set up a time to have the service done. The two gentlemen who actually did the service arrived promptly and verified the work agreed upon by the estimate. they not only worked quickly and professionally but actually left the areas worked upon looking better than when they started in terms of clean-up. We were also pleasantly surprised by limbs and the fallen tree being cut into log sizes that can be used in our fireplace-a service I did not expect! The overall experience was fantastic and I am looking forward to hiring them again for future needs.

Checked Angie's list for provider and selected Sperry Tree Care. Called for on-site estimate and appointment was determined. Attended Lane County Green Home & Garden Show and visited the booth, dropped a postcard into the drawing. Met with Albie on-site January 21, showed up right on time and was very personable, knowledgeable and earnest. Quote was emailed to me the next day and I signed/approved/scanned back. Work date was set for February 5, no need for me to be there, estimated a half-day's work would be required. Came home that night and it was as if the "tree fairies" had come -- everything looked beautifully done. Really appreciated the thorough cleanup and extra care taken to make it appear as if it all happened by magic. The small tree that was relocated looked beautifully placed, and the crew even took the extra effort to bring along a small perennial to plant at the base, so 'friendly' looking. I couldn't get the smile off my face. Received the postcard in the mail that I had dropped at the Lane County Garden show -- I had won $50 off. I called to see if the $50 could be deducted from the work bill -- no problem (!) Invoice came about a week later, $50 was deducted as promised. Also on my 'winning postcard' was the offer of one-hour free pruning lesson with Albie -- called to book that for January 7. The value of walking with a professional around my yard, with my specific plants, and to hear Albie's recommendations and technique was like MasterCard . . . priceless. If you want some just to whack down a tree (please don't!) perhaps you don't need the experience, knowledge and care of STC. But if, like me, you value the trees and plants in your landscape and enjoy watching them thrive with care, STC is your next call.

We had Nathanial out to do a quote in late August and he gave me a lot of useful information on not only the trees we wanted pruned but about our new blueberry bushes and other plants in our yard. The quote was fair and only about $30 more than the last time, 3 years ago, we had the cherry trees pruned. He recommended getting the trees pruned during the winter, sometime after Nov and after signing the quote last week and sending it in by email, they called and were able to schedule us for Tuesday due to an opening from a canceled job. So I guess we had good timing. Overall the work went reall well, except that they arrived later than I expected. Even though they didn't give a definite time, they did estimate it would be early afternoon but they arrived after 3pm. This really wasn't an issue for me since I was home all day but may be an issue with someone who doesn't want to wait around all day but wants to be around when they are there or need to open up locked gates,etc when they arrive. Three guys arrived and started working right away on the cherry trees. One Chris got to work on thinning out inner branches while Jason worked by ladder on the overall shape of the upper branches. That left the other Chris to bring in extra ladders that were needed and haul out the prunned branches to the truck for chipping. I found Jason, the main arborist, to be friendly and he was very open to answer all my questions and gave very useful information about what they were doing and why. They even accomodated my young son, 4, making sure he was safe and answered all his many questions with just as much interest as they did mine. It was overall a very informative lesson while watching them work on the cherry trees and the trees ended up looking much more cleanly shaped without taking too much off the trees The small maple we had planted 3 years ago in the front yard was looking quite bad with tightly packed limbs and lots of inner branches. Jason took a lot of care to go through the basic process he goes through to thin out the branches without taking too much and taking into consideration where the light is coming from, etc. He spent almost as much time on this small maple as they did the two big cherry trees in the back, working to make the overall look more ornamental and much more open. I love it now and hope I can remember all the advise that Jason gave when it comes to continuing the pruning in years to come. Jason even offered to answer any additional questions I may have by just calling the office and asking for him to contact me. I will continue to use Sperry for all my tree care.

They were also very professional. The association paid for the service.

The last time they actually did work was in 2009. I just got their quote and I am going to accept it.

Their price depends on the work involved. I have quite a number of trees. I would tell the others that they are the most qualified people in town to handle things. They have been very professional, and everything has worked out well for me.

They have been reliably knowledgeable. They are moderately expensive. Usually, they have been very responsive, but they are really busy right now. They do a pretty good job telling you about the estimated time of arrival if there are doing other job.

They did a good job, they are always very careful, and we did not have any problems.

They came right when needed and worked around the dump truck. They are fun to work with and talk to about trees because everyone who works there knows so much about the trees. It is fascinating working with them. They are great local citizens and support differing things in the city. They are a little spendy. They are fabulous. They have responded to emergencies very quickly. They are extremely responsible in their response to the trees. They are technically savvy. Their prices are reasonable. You can find cheaper, but they may not be as good. If I had a serious tree disease problem, they are the first company I would call in Eugene.

They have fantastic customer service and follow-up to make sure everything had been done correctly.

Got two different estimates. I felt Sperry was more proactive about preventing problems and their estimate was right on with the other I got. Crew came on time and did good work. They didn't finish the same day, but came back right away the next day to complete the work. Charged the exact amount in the estimate. Did full clean up. Would use again.

My experience with them was great! I had no problems. We had an extreme heat wave in the summer and I guess the heat stresses older oak trees. There were trees breaking and splitting all over the county.

I spent about $500 for the tree that they removed in June. They are very professional and they know the trees. They are very good about taking them out without wrecking the other plants. Then they come and grind the stump.

When we bought our house, our biggest concern was the tree in the front yard. The cores of both trunks are rotten, and the worst leans directly towards our house. Sperry Tree Care was the third tree care company I contacted after meeting and talking to Nathaniel Sperry at a home show. The first two gave me conflicting information, and seemed more interested in finding some work to do. Not Nathaniel. We talked about my trees for close to an hour, and then about gardening. I learned a lot, and got some good tips. For various reasons not related to STC, it was a bit over a year before I called them back. Even so, Nathaniel graciously came out to re-inspect my tree (it had gotten a bit worse). With the information Nathaniel gave us, we chose to keep the tree. He honored the original quote and we scheduled the work. The guys that came out seemed just as knowledgeable as Nathaniel, and just as easy to work with. Their work was careful and precise. They took out a considerable amount of excess weight. Even so, the tree looks no smaller, but far healthier and cleaner. Except for the one branch I asked them to take out, it looks just as 'natural'. After an extremely thorough cleanup, my yard looked fantastic. I have no reservations in recommending Sperry Tree Care.
