I can’t even begin to explain how impressed I am with the quality of work and attention to detail placed on installing our counters. Our kitchen and bathroom had intricate corners and they used their artistic talent to seamlessly blend the flow of the stone. I highly recommend Signature Surfaces for any of your surface needs and can’t wait to use them for our next projects!!!

Great! Laurie gave us a list of granite suppliers in Portland and we went up to pick out our slabs. Once we decided on the slabs, she gave us a price. She was patient with us and helped decide which options were best for our needs. She scheduled a date to have Oscar come out and do the "templating" for our job. It was only 3 weeks later for the installation; again Oscar, with Faustino, came out to do the same day demolition and installation. No one does a better job than these two granite artists. Although most of the work was done at the shop, there was still plenty of on site fabrication needed for our job. 1. One major concern to us was, after looking at many different showrooms and friends homes, there was a seam that was usually close to the sink. Most of the seams we saw were pretty bad. Our sink area is a big ell, 9' on one side and 5' on the other, Oscar said they could do the sink area without a seam! He called the office when it was time and a total of six workers carried in this huge piece of granite and set it in place. 2. Also, the under mount sink was installed flawlessly, with equal margins around the sink perimeter. 3. Underneath the counter lip, the part that extends over the actual counters, was finished and polished just as nicely as the tops. Not every company does that. Make sure you request that when you are getting bids. 4. During demolition, Oscar noticed two drawer slides that were broken; said if I went and got the parts, he'd fix them. WOW. 5. They arrived promptly at 7:30 am and were done at 3:30 pm, Everything was professionally done from start to finish, Laid down canvas on the floors and cleaned up before they left. 6. It took a few weeks, but they even gave me a cutting board, made from the same granite. 7. I asked if they could recommend a plumber and they gave me Richards number.(Signature will disconnect everything, but they won't reconnect for liability reasons.) He'll give you a reduced rate as long as he knows he was referred by Signature. He came at 7:30 am, on the dot; worked fast and did a professional job. 8. The only B's I gave was because Laurie didn't get back to me when she said she would; instead of "tomorrow" it was usually a day or two later. That made me question whether or not to go with another company, That turned out not to be a concern, because she always did do what she said and all promises were kept faithfully. So, don't worry. 9. Oh, yeah, we saved $1000!!!

While we did not end up choosing Signature Surfaces, that was largely because we were able to find a slab of granite that fit with our color scheme and decor better than the ones at this company. Having said that, this firm was incredibly responsive to our inquiries, developed price quotes quickly (which were really competitive), and followed up when there were new deliveries of slabs to their site in case we were still looking. When we start to think of remodeling other rooms where we need stone (tile, granite or marble), we will definitely go back and look.

We had a date scheduled for installation. I postponed it because of some unforseen work that came up at the last minute and had to be completed before installation. This messed up their schedule and caused rescheduling more than two weeks out. Once installation date was pinned down, it went according to plan. The office person was hard to get a hold of and made things more difficult for proper communication. Fortunately, the owner made things right.

My grandma was having difficulty finding a stone for her kitchen counter top that she liked and that was reasonably priced. Loved the look of the quartz, but hated the price tag. I suggested Signature Surfaces NW after looking at their selection of granite online (they actually have a photo gallery of some of the colors they have in stock). She found a beautiful, neutral-colored granite when she visited and they had enough in stock to do her whole kitchen. The entire process went so quickly--we were astonished. And the finished product is beautiful. Everything was measured and cut perfectly. My dad just put a quartz top on his large, custom-built bathroom vanity (through another company) and already wants to tear it out to put in the same granite my grandma used in her kitchen. We are very happy with the service and the price. I will be going to Signature Surfaces NW for my future projects.

The experience went really well. The price was reasonable. They were prompt and did exactly what they said they would. The workmanship was good.

On the first visit, Shaun came out and spent a significant amount of time templating the countertop to ensure accuracy. On the day of the demolition, Jesus came out and demo'd and crew of others helped with install.

Owner Shaun Nugent and his assistant did a great job on our kitchen. We are very pleased with the quality of the work! Shaun was very easy to work with. Professional and prompt. We especially appreciated his flexibility in scheduling and excellent communication. He was very good at letting us know about the progress and expectations on completion. When an unavoidable delay occurred, he kept us informed and followed through as promised. While working on our kitchen, Shaun and crew made the experience smooth for us. We work at home, and there was very little impact or disruption to us. No blasting stereo, no cigarette smoke, a well contained and cleaned-up work area. I was actually surprised at how quietly they worked and how conscientiously they treated our space. When a minor layout detail needed to be resolved during the job, Shaun consulted us and was patient in solving the issue in the way we wanted. The pricing was great and we feel Shaun was honest and fair at all times. The original estimate was thorough and clear. When the opportunity arose during the job to reuse part of our old plywood decking, Shaun reduced the costs in our favor. We couldn't be happier with the entire process. Would gladly hire again!
