Aaron hand-selected each piece of cedar at the lumber yard the day before construction as well as the hardware. He delivered it to the site that afternoon and was back on time in the morning with every possible tool that might be needed. By three p.m. we had a new gate. When Aaron was packed and gone, there was not a piece of scrap lumber or sawdust to be found - only our new portal to the back yard.


Side note: For over 28 years, Aaron's craftsmanship has been invaluable in converting our house into a home. He has: replaced a second floor bedroom balcony with a six foot window
and added a walk-in closet; added crucial south-facing windows; installed a skylight; replaced our single pane living room window with a deeper double-pane XOX unit; switched out a single-pane patio door for a beautiful Pella door; and other smaller projects.


Today's bit of transformation is an exceptional clear cedar entry gate to our renovated back yard. It is nicely proportioned to the space available, and,with a coat of sealer, the lines of the work and cedar tones and grain will really pop.


After two years of my own building efforts with our local Habitat for Humanity, I have even more respect for Aaron's work ethic and talent. He has been making our modest home much more livable for many years.

He's a great communicator. He's very responsible and has great follow-through. He does very good work and I highly recommend him.

Though the bill was kind of shocking, the work involved was quite
extensive. First a floor to ceiling cabinet had to be removed, which
turned out to be more difficult than it looked. And there was additional sheetrock that needed to be installed due to removal of the cabinet. The only complaint I would have was the quality of the door, which I bought prehung from Lowes, turned out to be bad, and rather than wait till I could be contacted about what to do, they went ahead and made some adjustments to the doorframe to try and make it work, and it is noticeably a bit out of square with the frame, though it does operate okay. If they had let me know about the problem with the door first, I would have returned it to Lowes and gotten another.
