As well as one could hope for in figuring out a potentially tricky electrical problem. The AC system was inappropriately signalling the radiator fan to run constantly, which was tracked down and fixed by disconnecting the fan from the sensor which was causing the fault (since the AC is inoperable anyway).

For a reasonable price he fixed a problem another place could not fix. The place is a dive but I would go to him first for any electrical problems with a car.

The process went great done on time. Shop rate is $65, I think. Cheaper than my truck mechanic at $90.

Car had issue on Friday night. Drove to vendors shop, left in lot. Called and left message that I left a car for him to look at, and a note where the keys were. Called Monday at 9 Am to find out when to pick up the car... Car was diagnosed! The owner explained to me that the problem was something that would cost an arm and a leg to fix, due to component cost, not labor. He recommended that I not replace the passenger thermostat, on the door, and disconnected it, so the dash thermostat would work. I mentioned I did electronics for a living, and he passed me the parts list, and diagrams in the event I wanted to fix it myself! He could have ripped me off, and did not even try! Wonderful! I will take ALL auto electrical problems to this vendor from now on. He charged me $35.00 for about an hour of his time, and made my car work, without my spending several hundred bucks on the thermostat I did not need. Would I take a car to him again, you bet!

From the first call you get the full attention of Gale the owner. You then tell him what the symptoms are and find yourself making these noises that apparently only electrical components found on said vehicle can make. If you didn't have his full attention, well you do now! I knew this by the way he asked me to and quot;repeat that one more timeand quot;. You can even see the wheels turning without being there. Ok, so now the question remains did he just put me on the intercom or is he simply needing to hear that unique squealing squawking thing? I choose to think he just needed to hear it twice! Any who, after hearing it a second time he can almost always tell you what it is and if not he'll have a good idea where to start. Seriously tho, at Shelby's Auto you can count on quality parts that'll be backed by a warranty. With the experience that can be found there you are sure to never be disappointed. Most parts to my surprise are in stock, and if not they are only a day or two away. Rarely is there a time that it takes more than a little while to get the vehicle back if it's something that your having them do. And its worth the wait because it will be done the right way. When it comes to electrical repairs or components for RV's or for my fleet of trucks and trailers we beat up daily, I will only use Shelby's Auto Electric. I took my car in to have the electrical system looked at because the car drained the battery totally, and the tow company suggested possible short in the electrical system. I also asked him to look at the heater control on the passenger side of the door. He took the car in the morning, and I had it back by afternoon. He found no problems with the electrical system, and prior to running up a huge bill on a small item he asked if I really wanted the remote heater control fixed. Would have cost a few hundred bucks. I said no, and he only charged me some very small amount for the look over on the electrical system. We talked a bit, and he realized I had an electronics background, so he handed me the papers which allowed me to fix the heater control. Very nice person, very honest, and I will take ALL my auto electrical problems to him, from now on. He reminds me of the repair folks of 40 years ago, honest, and not out to rip you.

We called first thing in the morning on the day after Thanksgiving, he got us in right away, fixed the probblem ,and had it back the same day. Super friendly, extremely fair pricing, honest and reliable. We've used him before and will continue to use him for all of our electrical needs!

I know Dale. Shelby is his child. He actually went to school with our daughter. He does excellent work. He has worked on our mom's car too. She was very happy with the result. He is very straight forward and honest. He tells about the problem, the work that is needed to be done and the cost and nothing extra. He is a very pleasant guy. It was overall a good experience with him. I haven't had a need for his services since then. His price is very reasonable and manageable. He sticks to it. There are no hidden charges. I would rate him highly. I would use him in the future, if I needed to.

They had my car for 2 days trying to diagnose the electrical problem with the car. When they discovered the problem they called to tell me that I could pick up my car the next day. I was expecting a bill for a couple of hundred dollars for their time and was very please when I picked up the car and it was only $45.00. I feel that Mr. Shelby is a very honest person and have already sent other customers to him and I will keep recommending him to everyone I know with auto electrical problems.

The experience I had with Shelby's Auto Electric was what I had hoped for. I gave him the symptoms, told him how much I could afford to pay, and asked him if he could do the job for that amount. He said he could, then he did it. Money well spent; happy customer giving him an "A" on Angie's List.
