Description of Work: They inspected our system, located the distribution boxes, pumped the tank. All very professionally done. What I most appreciated was that they took the time to study the system and then explain to me that we needed to do to keep it working well, such as removing a small fir tree that was threatening one of the distribution boxes. They also told me that we had a whole third distribution line that hasn't yet been used - which apparently means that our field will be lasting a very long time. Nice to know.

Description of Work: What started out to me a minor repair of septic system turned into a major replacement, it was very old. They worked with the county and got our new system installed in four days. Cost has not been finalized. Very helpful and professional staff.

Description of Work: When I bought my house I knew that at some point I would need the septic tank cleaned. I called Royal Flush to perform that task. When we opened the lid of the septic tank, it was discovered that the tank was an old fuel tank from at least the 1960's. The tank was rusted out and not working. Then we decided to make sure the rest of the septic system was intact and working. Big surprise; no other part of the septic system was intact or working correctly. It apparently had not been working for many years. So much for home inspection service performed at the time I bought the house. The sewage had been going directly into the soil and leaching from that point deeper into the ground. Nothing was noticeable from the surface. Royal Flush gave me options and prices and I made my choice. Royal Flush started the excavations, ordered a new concrete tank, and applied for the permits. County officials worked with us in the emergency situation we had on our hands. All of the old sepctic system was removed and replaced in two and a half days. That time included a late spring torrential downpour that stalled work for most of a day. All new 1500 gallon septic tank, connection to the house, distribution box, and drain field and replacement of the top soil. Very nice work, fast, competent and professional.

We were charged for the inspection service and sent a statement which said the system was not in good working order, not holding water. They did not pump the system obviously. That was it, no phone call to inform us, no details on the report, just a box checked saying there was a problem. I called several times trying to get more information, it took several days for him to get back to me. I find then that he believes that the septic tank is cracked (a major issue because that means complete system failure) and it is not holding fluid which means raw sewage is just seeping into the ground. Any responsible person would have called immediately about such a problem! He did not. Then he proceeded to tell me that he could replace the tank and get the system fixed for a total cost of $3500. That sounded too good to be true, I had done some research on my own about costs of replacing a septic system and I already knew that it required much, much more than just replacing the tank and that just the tanks cost upwards of $4000. He assured me however that he could do the entire job for the price quoted. I called another company to get a second opinion and found out that the average cost for replacing/repairing a septic system is anywhere from $8-10,000. I also found out, through this other company and other sources, that I couldn't replace the system anyway because my house is located within 300' of an existing sewer which means we have to hook up to the city system! Any professional working with septic systems and sewer lines should have known about that law. Needless to say we did not contact Royal Flush again. In the best case he was just uninformed about the laws and underestimated the bid by thousands, worst case he was trying to do a patch job which he knew would never be approved. I would not recommend this company.
Description of Work: We called Royal Flush initially to pump and inspect our septic system.

When we did the septic inspection we found a crack in the septic tank which is not a health threat or safety issue. The existing drain field was at present time in good working order. There are tanks that have small cracks in them that go undetected for 20-30 years which is never known by customers. Our company has installed 20-30 septic tanks per year for over twenty years. In that 20 year time we always work closely with inspectors and undergo the most up to date training. Our company prides itself in quality work with affordable prices with the highest quality materials. We are well aware of what materials cost to repair or replace systems. It is unfortunate that many companies over charge customers. A new septic tank costs approximately $1200 so $3000 would have included the labor to install, pumping the tank and needed materials to complete the job is a very fair price. When we give a customer a bid, that is what the cost will be unless the owner makes a change and then agrees to the price. We don't give a low bid and then jack the price up when we are hired for the job. We have qualified well trained technicians that take a great deal of pride in their work from start to finish. We have countless individuals that have had us install systems and have referred us to their family and friends. Being in business for over 20 years we have worked closely with the City of Springfield. They have rules and guidelines about hooking up to city sewer if your system has failed. In this case they may have let us replace the tank. Ultimately we are under the City's direction in how to proceed. All work would have had to been under a permit and they are very clear what should be done to fix it to correctly. We never take a short cut in any job we do. We certainly wish her the best and hope it will work out for her.

I am not pleased with them, as I was when they did the work. I blame him for the clean up afterwards. I had to originally do the original design because the county fee structure was about to go up. He didn't have the time to do the design himself, so I did the design. I am an accountant. I followed his instructions on how to do it and of course, the county said no. He must have three 100-foot long lines, not six 50-foot lines. The thing I do fault though is that let me give him another plus. I have irrigation in my front lawn. When they put in the drain field, they broke and cut through a lot of irrigation system. They left it open for me. They trenched it for me, so that I could repair it. My biggest fault was when they finished and closed it all up. They just smoothed it over. They did not overfill it slightly like they should do, so that when the ground settles afterwards it will be flushed. I have three holes in my lawn. It will cost me $500-$600 to blow in the dirt because they think it is going to take 7 to 9 yards of dirt. They didn't clean up very well. The large rocks in my lawn are still ticking up that there is one chunk of concrete pipe and I can't move it. The owner Jeff said he will send his crew out to clean things up, but they never showed up. In fact, I talked to him because he does septic work for the place I work at. I told him that it would cost me hundreds of dollars to fix the lawn. He offered to do it and of course, I had to pay. I felt that he ruined my lawn and made it look terrible. It would have been probably different if it were just the drain and septic tank. They had to jack the line, when they had to send the roto rooter thing. There were so much roots there from maple tree that they couldn't. They had to put in the new drain field. I spent two hours at the county court house dealing with the planning of it. It was not overall a pleasant expensive.

We always offer the service of working with the County directly. It requires two trips to Eugene with a detailed plot plan. We charge two hundred dollars for this service. Most individuals have us work with the county directly as it is well worth the money. This customer wanted to do this portion himself. If you are not used to the process it can be extremely frustrating. He wanted to save money. We discussed the cost of the job. We also knew there was an existing irrgation system with very rocky soil. The customer told us to put the septic system in and he would repair the sprinkler system and landscaping to save him alot of money. We put the new system in as requested by the customer and charged him the agreed quoted price. During this time he kept telling us that he would take care of the yard and sprinkler system and that we did not need to worry about it. We are very sorry to have an unhappy customer as most of the time customers have us take care of any repairs and needed clean up. This does not take long to provide clean up but can and may add to the cost of the job. This customer repeatedly told us he would take care of the detailed clean up. Our employees take a great deal of pride in their work and their attention to detail in listening to what our customers want. We will continue to provide high quality professional service to all our customers.

Everything went very well. They were prompt and courteous and explained what they found.
Description of Work: We had just bought our house and the prior owners gave us very little information about the septic system. Royal Flush came out to inspect the septic system. They found and dug up the lid to the tank and the lid to the pump basin. They inspected the tank and the pump basin, and jetted the sand filter. The cost for that visit was $256. They recommended pumping the tank, which was done the next day. The cost for the 1000 gallon septic tank pumping was $350.

I used the coupon from Angie's List. I also purchased some Rid-X type stuff that is cheaper than Rid-X and works better and should last about 3 years. They needed to do the digging for me to uncover the tank and I still spent very little more than I did 5 years ago when they also drained the tank. Very professional. Will have them do it again when needed.

In 2005 we hired this company to do a presale inspection of the septic/drainfield for a home we were considering buying. We specifically chose this contractor because of his prior history with the property--he had installed a new drainfield on the property in 1996. The inspection came back from this contractor as and quot;goodand quot; on all counts with zero notes regarding previous problems with the drainfield. We purchased the home in reliance on his professional representations of the condition of the septic and drainfield. In 2011, we discern that the drainfield has had problems for some time when we call Royal Flush out again to inspect the drainfield in preparation for county approval needed for some renovations we had wanted to do on our home. At the time he digs up the drainlines, he informs me that he had had to cap off half of the drainlines soon after he installed the new system in 1996, because the previous owners had ran their livestock over the area and ruined the bottom two drainfield lines (the workhorses of the system, as another contractor put it). THAT MEANS, that at the time he did our presale inspection in 2005, he knew that the drainfield was half destroyed by the previous owners and rendered inoperable by him in capping it off, which means he knew that the system was defective and not to code at the time he did our presale inspection. If he knew it off the top of his head in 2011, he knew it in 2005--and he PERSONALLY did the 2005 inspection, according to the signature on the inspection he submitted to us. If we had known that the drainfield had been mostly destroyed by the previous owners, and a good chunk of the system had been capped off by Royal Flush, we would have required the owners to replace the drainfield, and put it in a different location before we agreed to purchase the home (we can't believe it was buried in fenced pasture that was in use at the time we purchase the home, relying on that being a space we could put our livestock as well). After the owner of the company informed me in 2011 of his previous capping off of the drainfield because of its failure, i asked him to provide me with any paperwork he had relating to previous work he had done on the property. He then gets all nervous, won't look me in the eye, and avoids the question. When i press him, he stammers and then finally says that he is sure he has no record of it. I say, well how could you not, you have at least an invoice showing when you did the work. He says, staring at the ground, oh no , I am sure i didn't charge them for the work. Yeah, right. Said he would look for any records, and I think you know the end of this story. Moral of story: Don't hire this company unless you want to risk negligence and dishonesty.
Description of Work: Royal Flush Environmental Services did a drainfield inspection in 2011. They had done a pre-house purchase inspection on the same house for us in 2005.

Our services are used by many ranging from residental homes to corporate businesses. We have an outstanding service record that we are extremely proud of and can be verified by both the Contractors Board and the Better Business Bureau. Our staff regularly undergoes the most up to date extensive training that is offered so that we can provide constant quality thorough service for all customers residential or commercial. When inspecting a system, our trained technicians can evaluate the current status of the system and the working order of the system at the time of inspection. Problems that need to be fixed are disclosed at the time of inspection if the system is not functioning properly. This particular inspection was performed in 2005. No problems were reported over the past six years. In the winter of 2011 we were called out to the site to observe an extremely saturated wet area with livestock on the drainfield area. We will continue to provide excellent service to each and every customer that we work for.

.Excellent job! Nothing more need be said.
Description of Work: My septic system was making strange gurgling sounds. I called the office and got a prompt return call and, even though the system was working and there was no emergency, an appointment for 9:00 the following morning was scheduled. Scott was on time the next morning, listened to my description of the issue and promptly set out to find the problem. He quickly determined the cause of the problem to be a slow drain line. He then needed to locate the drain line and dig an access to it. With a few probes he located the line, dug an access to it and opened it so he could clear it with his water jet. Once he determined the line was flowing freely he patched the access hole, replaced the tank cover and buried everything. Everything was done in less than 2 hours while working in 38 degree weather with rain and light snow.

They were really far away from us (we live far out in the country) and I called several places that wouldn't come out till the next day. After I got off the phone with the nice people at Royal Flush, they were here in half an hour! I would definitely use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Royal Flush Environmental Svc to get the septic tank overflow fixed about three days ago.
