All utilities were located prior to work. Permits were taken care of and completed. Sanitary facilities for the crew were placed and removed promptly and placed so they were not a problem. The crew was courteous and prompt and did the work in a professional manner. They even did a little bit of extra sealing of the sites of foundation cracks in the affected area and pointed out a couple of things I was unaware of in the crawl space of my house that needed my attention. When the work was complete the clean-up was exceptional.

Arrived when expected; had all needed equipment and materials, and completed the work in a single day. Nicely done.

Promptly responded to our engineer's request for q quotation. After their selection to perform the work, they immediately began the process of obtaining the required permits. They scheduled the actual work to meet our travel requirements. They successfully completed the work as scheduled at the quoted price.

Overall the job was performed well, and our house is now back to about as good as it can get. Ramjack calls what they do "practical recovery", and this is what I experienced. It is not exactly level everywhere, but it is within a 1/4 to 1/2 inch or so everywhere, and it will not be rising and falling with the seasons, as it had earlier. I moved into my house a little over a year ago. The expansive clay soil underneath my home was unfortunately eroded due to some poor gutter downspout placement by the initial and previous owners, running the water from nearly half the roof area straight into the ground next to the foundation (not even attempting to guide the drain away from the concrete foundation, but just clipping off the downspout as it entered the dirt next to the foundation). Sixty years of that had taken it's toll, and the foundation had settled in two areas by about 2 inches. This 2 inch deviation was over a distance of only about 6 ft in some areas, and put strain and cracks in our wall and ceilings, and caused our doors to go out of alignment regularly. I was tired of readjusting the bathroom and bedroom doors so they would close. Ramjack has some excellent crews, and my crew was led by Freddy, who was just awesome in every way. Freddy communicated everything clearly, was genuinely interested in performing the best foundation repair possible, and made sure I understood and agreed with every step along the way. They used very stiff channel iron to stabilize the foundation walls and prevent more cracking (I already had multiple cracks in the foundation). They clearly explained how that would work with the final lift to prevent further cracking of the foundation during the lift. Freddy and his crew were really courteous, friendly, and industrious throughout the time they were here. I would ask for Freddy's crew to perform your job, but I think all Ramjack's crews are pretty good. The final lift with Ramjack's owner (Ken Marquardt) supervising was performed well. It was a bit of an anxious time for me, but it turned out well, and I am quite satisfied with the final result. I had a bid from the major competition to Ramjack also, but after seeing the foundation repair work the competitor performed for my niece, I was leery of their performance, and went with Ramjack instead. I am happy with that decision. The helical piers are, in my opinion, the way to go for the majority of foundation lifts. The push pier system that the competitor used for my niece's house resulted in multiple new cracks in their foundation. I would highly recommend Ramjack and their helical piers.

The job went well. They came, did what they said they would do and did a good job. While raising it, they said we might have some interior damage but they went slow and there were virtually no cracks inside and the 2 corner windows did NOT break.

Ram Jack provided prompt and courteous service. The installers Gabe, Abraham, and P.C. did an excellent job. We are pleased with the result and the price.

It went very well, the professionalism of the people I dealt with at RamJack was outstanding from the beginning to the end. I was impressed by their thoroughness and helpful attitude throughout the project. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Thought the years the soap stones under the house gave away. They placed steel pipes down to the rock bottom, the house is now stabilized.

Rough start because they started working, but it was unclear who to talk to about our concerns. Gradually got this worked out and then things proceeded smoothly.

It was an estimate only with discussion of other ways to fix the problem. During the consult I was able to determine we did not have a significant problem so it was very helpful.

They arrived on time and would inform us before they left for the day. They would communicate if they would be coming when we were not home. There was a crew chief and 3-4 other people digging and inserting the piers. The team was respectful in how they spoke with us and asked questions appropriately and requested permission to remove plants from a place they needed to get their equipment in.

Installation of jacks was satisfactory. Removal of deck boards and care of surrounding environment was really bad. The crew left large scratches on the composite decking, bent screws over instead of removing them which I as the homeowner had to go back and re-do in order to put the deck boards back in place properly. Drain lines were cut and they did not carry anything to fix them, so I had to almost forcibly stop the workers from just covering up the cut drain lines which would have just let the water run directly where the jacks had just been placed. Then I had to make the repairs to the drain lines and cover the work. I was told the job would take two days, they got it done in one day - no conversation about why the change in time-line - no consideration to cost - just here's the bill, pay it. Although I am ASSUMING jacks were installed correctly, I was not impressed with the way the workers treated the areas they had to work around.

I ended up NOT needing their services right away. I've been way overwhelmed with repairs this summer and after crawling around the crawl space I decided it could be put off until next summer. BUT they were great. They were going to work me in right away, between jobs. I really appreciated their willingness to take a small job and try to make it "happen" on my schedule.

We did not use them related to the the cost.

They felt the tilt was too small to fix and a fix wasn't needed.

Showed up on time, as arranged and inspection completed. With his years of experience, they provided alternative recommendations to address my problem which would not require their services. I think this shows a high degree of integrity. Would definately use them in the future.

Ram Jack had been to our house before but since the cost was more than I had anticipated, I decided to wait. It had been a few years and I called for someone to come out for another estimate. Ken Marquardt showed up to do our the estimate and he remembered us! He was easy going and didn't give us the hard sell. He explained everything they would do and when I emailed him with questions, he was quick to respond. After a few other companies came out and gave us estimates, we decided to go with Ram Jack. In Corvallis, an inspector has to sign off on the project before the work can begin. The inspector held up the project because of his schedule, not Ram Jack. The office manager kept me informed at all times of what was going on and what to expect through out the process. The company was easy to work with, very professional and delivered what they promised!

All of the workmen performed the job professionally. I was in contact with Ram jack every step of the job.

They did a wonderful job. They were very professional and communicated with me throughout the whole job. I was very pleased with the overall job.

I live in South Carolina so using Angie's list was very helpful in identifying a contractor. I was finally able to get to Oregon and take a look at the completed work in February. RamJack was professional from the first contact I made with them and they gave me a free estimate and good description of the problem which clearly showed what needed to be corrected. After getting a second quotation from another contractor I chose RamJack and they provided a timeline and completion date for the work. We stayed in contact both by phone and email, and the entire job went smoothly. My renter was both impressed and satisfied with the work and now the foundation is as it should be. I would use RamJack again, and rely on Angie's list for finding contractors to keep the house well maintained.

We recently purchased a home in Lincoln City built in 1935. During the inspection it was noted that we would need the foundation stabilized at some point because the piers were just concrete blocks with wood shims. We had a termite issue and wanted to get any foundation problems fixed before the exterminators did their work. Ken came out to our house and went into the crawlspace with me to show me what was going on. It turns out the piers were just fine - in fact extra ones had been added for support - and some unsupported beams were evidence of previous work that had been done on the foundation to lift the house. Ken confirmed everything was solid and that any work he did would just "pretty up" what was already there (i.e. replacing our current concrete/wood piers with new metal posts). Not knowing much about foundations Ken really set our mind at ease and recommend we not do anything because any work they did would be expensive and not really change anything. Ken was very straight-forward and a nice guy, we would definitely recommend Ram Jack in the future.

They were very prompt, professional and got the job done on a tight time frame. Also, had a flexible payment options.

He was pronpt and proffessional and honest about work that needed doing. He could have said it needed a lot of expensive work and we wouldn't have been any wiser but he didn't and We admire him for that.
