Ed measured the entire floor of the house for being level. Used a cool instrument that measured deviations from a zero point. Found the area by sliding doors was inclined by about two inches. All of this done at no cost. Speculated that the problem was caused by adjacent fir tree. After consulting with our tree expert (LJ Tree service) determined it was a tree problem but not a foundation problem. (Have a cantilevered deck with a footing next to tree) I was so pleased with Ed's thoroughness and data gathering that I asked him to send me the elevation measurements and would pay him for them so that I would have a baseline in case we needed his services later on. Ed very professional. Took off boots in house and very respectful of items that had to be moved to get his measurements. So pleased with his professionalism that I asked him for a contractor reference for the work that needs to be done.
