I’m not happy with them. We weren’t pleased. The young guys that came out to do the work were shabby. They were lying under the house smoking. They were 3 young scrunchies. I don’t think we got our money’s worth out of it. Their punctuality was okay. They were prompt and on time but I think that’s the only thing they did right. For any insulation done, don’t call them.

It took a little while for a customer service associate to offer assistance, but once we were noticed the customer service was satisfactory. We really wanted to compare a brand that Lowe's carries with one that it does not carry which was difficult for the sales person to do. In the end, we purchased the brand that Lowe's does carry, primarily because the customer service representative helped us save a little money.

My husband and I used Lowe's to install ceramic floor tiles last year after they opened their new store in our town. That job was affordable and done well, so we gave them first shot at installing our linoleum this year. Because of that positive prior experience with Lowe's, we did not have a problem paying a $40 nonrefundable fee for measuring for the linoleum. Lowe's sent a measurer out about a week after we paid for the measuring. A couple of days after that, we called Lowe's to get the price for the job. It was more than $2100 for bottom line linoleum. We said surely there was a math error, but the flooring rep said no. We requested a discount at least on the materials portion because we assumed the labor was not changeable. We asked for that discount based on our being repeat customers, homeowners with lots of projects going on that we would be glad to shop at Lowe's for, and that this cost was an utter shock compared to the work done the year before. They said a flat no, as if our business means nothing (we assume it doesn't). The next week we went to another local flooring company and got the EXACT SAME JOB done for $1100 (that is not a typo, that is one thousand dollars less than Lowe's price). We also learned that Lowe's had quoted us a price that would make a profit on the materials AND a $500 profit on the labor (they would pay the installer his price, which was quite fair and what we would have expected, but they would charge us an additional $500, which helped boost their quote to us to the $2100). A few days later Lowe's was still calling us asking if we wanted to do that job. Right! We may buy items on sale at Lowe's, but we will NEVER get another installation quote from Lowe's, ever.
