Description of Work: They thinned out two 6 year old trees so they don't break or crack in the wind. The two men were very professional and their work was great. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: In early June, 2011, I called Eric of "Leuallen's Tree & Garden Service, Inc." and left a message with regards to the removal of a tree in my backyard. I asked that he contact me, (along with several others I had checked out and asked to contact me,) so that we could discuss the project and set up a time for him to come by. I had to leave at least four messages before I received a return call. He did finally contact me and apologized for not returning my call sooner. We set up a time and date for Eric to come by. He said he would stop by earlier if he were 'in the area'. I told him it would it would not help unless I happened to be home as the tree was in the back yard and the access gate was locked. Thinking he understood what I meant, I was very surprised a few days later to hear a message on my recorder which went something like this, "I was in the area so thought I'd take a chance and stop by and take a look at the job, but I couldn't get in to your yard." The day of the appointment was the same day I had a doctor's appointment. Everything went downhill from there. Not only was the doctor late, but I ended up having to call Eric and explain I would be late, probably very late as an emergency had come up. I have since called and left 6-8 messages, none of which has brought a response at this time. Very disappointing.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. Eric Leuallen came out and walked around the yard with me making notes of special needs (tree growing over roof gutters). Listened to my concerns and answered questions. He e-mailed me a detailed work order and scheduled the work promptly. The two workers arrived on time and did all the work described in the work order including hauling away all the brush and leaving things tidy and better than they found it. They even hauled off a small pile of shrub prunings we had in the yard. When I asked them to take a few more branches off one tree, they complied cheerfully even though they were done and packed up already. I would definitely use this service again.
Description of Work: Pruned and cleaned up 18 trees that had not been pruned for several years. These were mostly birches and maple trees but also four fruit trees. Removed ALL debris.

+ -1 moreI don't remember the exact date or amount we spent. We had a very tall cypress that was leaning and threatening the house and also a very large river birch that was taking over a sideyard. There was another tree (think it was a maple) with roots growing awfully close to the house. The birch was especially difficult to get to (not much space between houses). Leuallen's did a great job removing both trees and cleaning up after the removal. It was not cheap but it felt reasonable for the amount of work required to finish this job. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, and would call them again for any problem trees. Or for trees that need trimming (they don't blindly hack away at the limbs like some less skilled folks).

+ 0 moreThe two workers arrived as expected and did a wonderful job. The trees, hedges, and bushes looked really nice when they left, and the cleanup was thorough.
Description of Work: Our high-maintenance garden was overgrown so there was a lot of trimming, pruning, and cleaning up to do. We have monthly lawn care, so that was not part of the job.

+ 1 moreI like the fact that they've been in business for a long time. I like the quality of the service they've provided. The way they are set up is you call them when you want service, rather than putting you on a set schedule. I like that because I don't like paying for a service every week that I might not need.
Description of Work: They have done both tree pruning of all sizes of trees, and yard cleanup and landscaping.

+ -1 moreAlways excellent pruning techniques. Cleanup is neat and thorough. Regular spray program keeps trees protected from disease and insect damage. Individual needs are taken into consideration. All technicians are knowledgeable and courteous.
