We called on Sunday and made an appointment for them to come and give a free estimate. They said they could come on Tuesday between 1 - 3. After 1 on Tuesday they called and said they were running late and would be there sometime after 3. They said they'd call when they were on their way so we could meet them there. They called as promised and we met them. They took a quick look at the job and said that they would advise us to do it ourselves and get a dumpster. The job would cost over $2000 if they did it. They gave us a couple of suggestions of who to call and quickly left. That left us wondering what kind of jobs they take on. The job we asked them to do seemed like the appropriate kind of work for this service. Nothing gross or hazardous, just lots of runs to the dump, sorting and bringing some stuff to GoodWill, paints and solvents, old computers to their appropriate location(s). Isn't that what they do best?
Description of Work: We called Junk Be Gone for an estimate to haul away everything in the garage of our rental house.

After three phone calls to get information (which was still vague about pricing), I made an appointment. They were very good about calling the day before to confirm, and calling on the day when they were on the way over. The quote for removal was very high ($500), and although Lisa tried to talk me into other methods of removal, I accepted the bid and expected the junk to be removed immediately. I was assured that the truck was on site, empty and ready to go. They loaded for only 30 minutes, left because Lisa had a hair appointment, and told the tenant they would return in 10 days to finish the job. At no time was I contacted regarding the change of plans. The story I eventually got (after three phone calls and an e-mail requesting contact) about why they left was completely different than the one they gave the tenant. They tried to blame the tenant, saying she added to the pile, and that the job was just too big. And some extremely inappropriate personal comments were made by Lisa to the tenant. If they were true professionals, they would have contacted me regarding the change, they would not have made inappropriate comments in any form. I canceled the second appointment, expressed my disappointment, and paid them for the "work" they did. All 30 minutes of it. Never again will we or the tenant use this company. Very unprofessional.
Description of Work: In getting our rental house ready for sale, we needed junk removed. We had already made several trips to Goodwill, St. Vincent's and the dump, and as we live out of town I was ready to pay someone else to do the rest of the work.

The company did not show up. We called and scheduled an appointment, and they no-showed. We called and re-scheduled, and, once again, got a no show. When we called again to inquire, we were told ''no one is here to handle your complaint.''
