Great job! On time, quick, clean, thorough, willing and courteous. Amazing service in this day and age. I called for an under-sink valve replacement during a bathroom remodel. He promptly returned my call and we scheduled for 2 days later at 10 ish. From past experiences with previous "service providers" I assumed that 10 ish would be more like 11 ish. Surprize! Mr. Hegarty showed up at 9:30, he looked at the job to be done and went to get his tools and the necessary parts and was done within 20 minutes; we also asked his opinion on some other possible problems that might crop up in the near future, he answered all our questions, made some suggestions and ended up pulling the toilet and replacing that valve as well. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Work completed within and hour even with the extras. I will recommend him to all my friends.

I am very happy with the work that was done. He was prompt, quick, efficient and did an excellent job. Changing out the frost-free hose faucet required him to crawl under the house several times to the opposite side. He did this so quickly, I didn't know he had even started that job when he said it was all done! I highly recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work and will definitely use him again in the future.

You could not ask for a more professional person to do plumbing work than Mr. Hegarty. When I made the initial call, he returned my call at the specified time and set up an appointment for two days later. He arrived on time, and with as much efficiency as you could imagine, got to work. My husband and I left him alone and he worked continuously until the work was completed. The work was perfect and the price was modest. Could not ask for a better experience.

Contacted Hegarty Plumbing in the morning and left message. He returned call that afternoon. I was to purchase toilet unit at Jerry's and he would pick up on the day of installation. We made appointment for installation between 10-11am Thursday May 19. He arrived on time and installed unit within an hour. Charged for an hour labor ( with 10% discount) plus parts and fee for disposing old unit; total bill of $116.

My experience has been very favorable. I was impressed with him as a plumber, doing good work and keeping appointments -- being timely. He has fixed some things and has installed, like, a water filtration system so he has done several things for us.

He was on time, was careful to wear shoe protectors, and was very fast to take care of the problem. He was also helpful to explain how we could prevent similar problems and how we might better be able to clear a future issue ourselves.

He was extremely professional. Took care of the two faucets with the minimum charge. All work was competed professionally. I highly recommend their service.

We were so relieved when Robert fit us into his schedule right away. We called Monday morning and he said he couldn't come till the next day, but opened up a lunch time on Monday to come and look at it. Arrived 15 minutes earlier then scheduled and fixed it right away in less then an hour. Robert gave a Senior Discount. Excellent, efficient service at a reasonable rate. Highly recommended and we will definitely use Robert again.

Excellent, Robert called back at end of weekend, made plans to get items fixed. No hitch, all done well. He was efficient, professional, and had recommendations to save us money.

I called Mr. Hegarty on Wednesday and he returned my call later in the day to report that he would be available late the next morning. He was able to arrive a bit earlier than projected and was immediately at work replacing the old cartridge with a new one. I had been unable to move the handle in and out and the problem was soon solved. The upstairs shower pull was releasing only hot water and with a bit of detective work, My Hegarty resolved the problem there as well, finding that the pull had been put in in reverse order when originally installed. There was another part of the mechanism that was the reason for the lack of cold water being accessed. He removed it and like magic, the cold water came out of the spigot. Mr Hegarty was prompt, efficient and eager to explain what it was that was wrong and what it took to resolve the issues. All in all I was very satisfied.

Robert showed up on time and immediately got to work on fixing a leaking bathroom sink faucet and replacing an old (approximately 1977) kitchen faucet and insta-hot dispenser with new ones. As always, he was very professional and did a great job. Due to the way my house was built (it's very "custom" to say the least), repairs often present unique challenges, and this was no exception. Despite running into various issues beyond his control, Robert was able to get everything fixed and installed. I've used Robert many times in the past and will continue to do so should new plumbing issues arise in the future. I highly recommend him.

I called Mr. Hegarty about a week ago and told him I wanted to replace an old, leaky toilet. Indicated that I could not transport the new one to my location because it was too heavy for me. He directed me to buy the new item and get a purchase order number so he could pick it up for me, which I did. I also purchased and took home with me the new toilet seat, wax ring, and installation hardware. Called him back and gave him the PO number; we scheduled a time and date for him to do the work. Promptly at the agreed-on time, he arrived bringing the new tank and bowl. He was quick and efficient. The new item works perfectly, the installation is clean and professional-looking. I have worked with Mr. Hegarty in the past as well and have always found him to be direct, honest, and efficient. Once when the tank from my old toilet was not refilling consistently, I called him for repair. He came and showed me how I could just tap the float in the tank to make it fill and he didn't charge me for the advice. He could easily and justifiably have replaced parts for a fee. I would recommend him without any reservation.

We discovered the old water heater was broken by the sound of running water in the closet in center of the house. We called Robert (from Angie's List) and he was able to come look at it later that day even though he was busy. He diagnosed the problem as the place where the sides meet the bottom of the water heater had rusted out and was leaking water into the catch pan (faster than it could drain causing overflow spillage going into the crawlspace under the house). He tried finding a new one through the plumbing supply store but they didn't have the "low boy" size needed to fit in the closet. We found one at a "big box" store and he installed it the next morning. He came right on time and worked harder and faster than any repair person I have ever employed. He was courteous and knowledgeable. Our water turn-off is a good walk up a pretty steep hill. He ran up that hill even in the 95 degree heat! When the new one was all installed, he ran back up the hill to turn on the water again and test the system. He found a small leak in one of the old lines he had reused. Oh how frustrating! He ran back up the hill, turned off the water, got supplies from his truck, came in and soldered on (or maybe welded) a new line. Then he ran back up the hill to turn the water back on to test it again. It worked fine. He had single-handedly wheeled the old water heater out to the driveway, but since it was filled with rust and sediment about 6" deep it was very very heavy. He said he would be back the next morning with his son to help lift it into his truck. In the meantime I discovered that the upstairs toilet had stopped filling. While he was here that next morning, he went up and discovered it had a special cut-off system in the water line that had been tripped by the varying water pressures. He replaced it with a new one that he had in his truck. We are all back to normal now and so very thankful for Robert's wonderful skills service and reasonable pricing!

Robert arrived early and with all the necessary parts. Within 90 minutes he had the old water heater removed and the new water heater installed. Before leaving, Robert explained the work he had done and answered my questions expertly. Robert is fast, courteous, and always exceeds my expectations. This is the second job Robert has completed for me and I will definitely call him the next time I need a plumber!

He is very prompt to respond to a call and let you know when he can come. He describes in detail what his costs are and what he is doing as the job progresses. He also tells you if there is a way to decrease his cost. We/he had to dig in the ground to replace a broken shut-off valve. We/he needed to open spigots on several buildings to diminish the water pressure, as well as shut off the entire system for 13 buildings.

I've used Hegarty plumbing in the past and absolutely will in the future. He calls when he says he will; makes an effort to be there the next day; arrives on time; explains what's wrong and how it happened; carries most replacement parts with him; and is simply pleasant to be around. What's more, he didn't have the parts for one of my faucets and rather than charge me for coming back, he asked if I was handy, then walked me through replacing it myself. I really enjoy working with him.

Tried to fix old toilet. When parts were going to be too much we decided to have Robert install a new one. Went without a hitch. He was efficient and offered helpful suggested solutions.

We have used Robert several times over the past many years. He is consistently outstanding. I wish he had a topnotch apprentice, since, like us he is getting older. There are few plumbers in his league. He came out and quickly and accurately accessed and fixed the problem. And we got an Angie's list discount as the cherry on top. He is our "go to guy" for anything plumbing related.

He is great. He is local. We have had him several times and recommended him to friends. He is reasonable. He shows up when he says he is going to. He just comes in and gets the work done, no bologna no talking or whatever. He is nice and he always does an excellent job. We have recommended him to friends who are the same way. They would not have anyone come to their house anymore. You would not know he has been here and not only that we put in a new toilet, he went and picked it up for us with no extra charge instead of us trying to deal with a big heavy toilet. He is very accommodating and responsive. He knows what he is doing which is the most important part. It does not make a difference if he is a beast. It is just him and he takes his own calls.

Excellent! I called him in the morning hoping he could make it here today. Explained how this "flushing" was driving us nuts. He came right over, fixed the problem, and explained the situation. He also explained another problem we were having and we intend on using him to fix that problem as well. Very cordial and professional. Will definitely use him any time there is a plumbing issue.
