Everything went swimmingly. He was punctual, polite, and did the job in a timely manner. Plus he was easy to talk to and explained what he was doing, how, and why when asked. Plus we have a newborn and a dog and was able to work around our hectic morning. Plus, as a bonus he voluntarily showed me where my water shut off valve is, how to do it, and what tools to have on hand in case of emergency later on.

Bob used his time wisely and quite efficiently to determine that there were a multitude of issues causing the troubles with my particular plumbing woes. He was very kind, polite, clean, quick, and explained the problems to me as he found them. He's like Superman with a plunger and snake!

Robert was very thorough in his repair and detailed in making sure the issue was resolved. This was more problematic then a normal repair due to a previously poor installation made by the prior owner. Robert assessed the situation and came up with a solution that involved the least amount of cost while still maintaining the highest quality in the repair.

He was prompt and did a thorough evaluation of each task, explaining things each step of the way. Usually available within 2-3 days. Very impressed with his work and service

Robert is prompt communicative and efficient, and very reasonably priced. He fixed a difficult to access and work on, leaking pipe under my house. He explained and consulted when needing to cut into wall to replace pipe. I inspected his work and it was quality. He is an unusually fast and precise. This was same day service.

I called Mr. Hegarty on a Friday morning to repair a leaking tub/shower unit. He arrived as scheduled that afternoon. After determining that the cartridge was bad, he said he wouold return Saturday morning to install any complete valve kit we purchased (cartridge, mixer, shower head and tub hardware kit). He arrived at about 9:am on Saturday, cut open the drywall behind the bath unit to access the pipes, and proceeded as described in section one. He completed all work in about 1 and 1/2 hours. Both visits (Friday and Saturday) totaled about 2.5 hours. I have had a fair amount of work done on my house in the past six years, including a furnace installation, a new roof, rug and laminate installations, a concrete patio, and an 18x12 room enlargement. No workman I have employed impressed me more than Mr. Hegarty. He is knowledgeable, professional, and extremely competent. He works quickly because he knows exactly what must be done. His prices are more than fair, and he is courteous and friendly. In brief, I will hire him again should I need further plumbing work and recommend him highly.

Mr. Hegarty replaced toilet anchors (one in wood floor and the other in concrete slab). He also replaced two shower fixtures. He worked in a timely, efficient manner and did a very good, neat job and left areas clean. We were very pleased with the result.

Mr. Hegarty was personable and professional on the phone; I mentioned that I found him on Angie's List and he informed me that I would get a 10% Angie's List discount. I explained my plumbing problems and he explained to me what he thought the problems might be and gave an estimate of how long it would take to make the repairs. Since my plumbing problems were not of the emergency type, I was pleasantly surprised when he was able to make an appointment that same week. He arrived on time with booties on his shoes. He started working right after he came in and quickly figured out what the problems were. He patiently explained the repairs and showed me what needed to be done, and then completed all of the tasks in a timely manner. His honesty and professional demeanor impressed me along with his friendly personality. It's obvious that he's been a plumber for a very long time because he's knowledgeable and efficient.

This was the first time I used Robert, but I think he is now my regular plumber. He is just excellent. There was one leak after he left, and he stands behind his work and he came right back out. Price is for labor only.

Hegarty seems to be a one-person shop (or at least a small shop with few employees). Mr Hegarty answered the phone himself and was able to squeeze our job between two previous commitments on the same day we called even though our problem was not an emergency. He called to announce his arrival a few minuted before coming and had fixed the problem in about 20 minutes (with his signature booties). The bill indicated a charge of $80.00 less the 10% Angie's List coupon discount for a net of $72.00. All told a good experience and worth recommending.

Robert Hegarty arrived exactly when he said he would and completed all the work within an hour. He explained to me upfront that my existing toilet and sink had been incorrectly installed (abutting the tile instead of sitting on top of it) and that he would not be able to take out the old toilet/sink without breaking some of the tile. Since the tile was really old and the bathroom very small, I decided to go ahead and replace the tile rather than patch the broken tiles. So, Bob's job today was to remove the two items. After I have new tile installed, he will return to install a new toilet and sink. He gave me the measurements I need to buy my own replacements at the home improvement store and told me when he will be able to come back. He cleaned up everything in both bathrooms and took the old toilet and sink outside for me. (He offered to take them to the dump for an additional $25, but I opted to do that myself.) He wore protective booties over his shoes and was super-professional and pleasant.

Our new house had a rocking toilet bowl. I called Mr. Hegarty in the morning, and he came by in the early afternoon. He worked quickly and efficiently to solve and fix the problem. It had loose bolts and the damage caused by the problem scarred the wax ring. He was especially respectful of my newly refinished wood floors and wore booties over his shoes to protect it.

Went as estimated. Robert came when he said he would, gave a good estimate, did what he said he'd do in a quick, professional way, and gave the discount as promised on Angie's List.

He was prompt; professional; courteous; (he even wore little booties on his feet as to not track dirt into our home); and quiet (important when you have a 12 week and 2 year old around the house). He was right on in his diagnosing the problem and did a great job explaining our options for repair. His rate and bill was very fare. All in all I would highly recommend him.

All went very well. I learned that Mr. Hegarty has been a master plumber for over 25 years. He was responsive, professional, competent, and neat and tidy as he worked. He was quite helpful in explaining issues as he performed repairs and generous with great homeowner's plumbing advice, including pointing out easy fixes to some things we could do ourselves to save money. The cost of $209 for 2-1/2 hours of time and materials (including a follow up on the second day after he obtained a part) was reasonable and fair. That price did not include the new kitchen faucet which we selected and purchased ourselves for $149. Still, the overall price came out to be less than I anticipated.

The bathroom sink faucet required a special order. I was kept informed about the cost, when it should arrive, etc. Mr. Hegarty always showed up when scheduled and actual charges matched the estimate. He does not charge for travel time and offers a senior discount. He kept the work area clean and put on "booties" to avoid tracking mud or pebbles into the house.

I left a message on Monday and he returned call Monday evening. Set up appointment for Wednesday and he gave an estimate of about two hours labor with projects I described. He called back Tuesday evening stating had just installed different brand of low flow toilet and took additional time than he expected just to inform me that could cost more. He arrived promptly on Wednesday and actually took less time than estimated at 1 and 3/4 hours work. Very satisfied with job completed. Would definitely call again and recommend to others.
