Robert thought the problem was caused by the toilet float valve, so he replaced that. Unfortunately that didn't completely cure the problem because some pipe would still bang when the cold water was shut off at the kitchen sink. After several inspections, he determined that the problem must be caused by a check valve that someone had installed in the cold water pipe leading to the water heater. Since there was an expansion tank on the water heater side of the check valve, that should have absorbed the shock of the water being shut off quickly, he asked if he could remove the check valve. He did and that solved the problem of the banging pipe. It hasn't banged since then.

It seemed like he did fine, but he had to come back because he didn't do something electrical right. He did come back to fix it.

My hot water heater blew out on a Friday night. I called Mr. Hegarty Saturday and he came right over. By Monday morning he brought a new water heater, installed it and it worked great. Several weeks later, I noticed water at the base of the new water heater, so I called Mr. Hegarty. He came over within 15 minutes to check. We determined that there was no problem with the new hot water heater. Instead, the leak was coming from outside because of the heavy rains we've had. I was really happy with Mr. Hegarty's promptness and professionalism and would certainly hire him again.

I was very happy with the service. He got right to work, easily addressed problems, and had everything done in just over 2 hours. The completed work was of good quality - no leaks or other issues. I will be calling him again when I get the tub shower trim kit and another sink faucet. Cost listed is for labor as adjusted by Angie's list discount. Total bill also included some charges for materials.

He was good, I liked him. He was very punctual. I tried to use him again, but there was going to have to be done under the house, and he said he didn't do under the house stuff anymore. One person came out to complete the work. It took less than an hour to complete the work. I liked that it was a reasonable price, that is what I like best. Another thing that I liked, is his professionalism.

We provided the garbage disposal in the kitchen Fossett. Robert responded the same day to our call and came within two days. His base rate is only $90 an hour with the 10% Angie's list member coupon as well. He did all of this work in one hour and three quarters, and the total charge was $152 . Amazing! Polite and competent, timely and inexpensive. This is the second time we have used Hegarty.

It went great. I called Mr. Hegarty mid-day, left a message on his voicemail & he returned my call about 4:10 p.m. that same day. We made an appointment for the next day at 11 a.m. He was there promptly, asked questions, examined the water heater, assessed the problem & got right to work. He re-did the piping, cleaned up & gave me an invoice & was finished within about 45 min. He also looked at a couple of other things i want to do in the future. This morning I had the first wonderfully almost hot water shower I've had in a long long time, & best of all I was shivering for almost an hour afterwards! Thank you very much, Mr. Hegarty. He is also very careful about shoe covers & neatness. I would highly recommend him.

He worked very efficiently and professionally, and even removed the stopper in my bathtub as an extra request. Gave me the 10% member discount. I also appreciated that his online ad was straightforward and to the point. Also excepted credit card.

Fast, efficient and friendly. He totally fixed one toilet by replacing the flapper. The other one was an off brand so he did a temp fix and is finding the right gasket to make it permanent. Said he'd come by and install the gasket at no extra charge.

A++++ rating for Robert! We were in dire need as the pipe broke at our rental and water had to be shut off where our tenant would be without water usage. I left a message on Robert's voicemail and he came within an hour. He charges $90 + materials which is the most reasonable plumbing rate you can get in town! Other plumbers charge $129 an hour. Always go to Robert and you will never be disappointed! This is the 4th time we have used him and will always use him for our plumbing needs.
