Mr. Hagerty replaced a 15 year old water heater on the day that I called for service. I accepted his money-saving suggestion to fetch the recommended new heater myself and met him at my home at the designated time (!). The job was accomplished in BTA time and to my complete satisfaction, no additional charges encountered. I didn't know this fine level of service could be had. I lucked out - and am now locked-in

I have used him many times. He is beyond excellent. I have recommended him to many others who were pleased as well. He is the only one I would ever use. He has become the plumber for our extended family. He has been terrific!

He responded to my call and was at my house within the hour. He brought the Hot water heater exactly when he said he would the next day and completed the installation within two hours.

Excellent! I called the day before Thanksgiving with a malfunctioning water heater. He had planned a four-day holiday but offered to come the day after Thanksgiving. I didn't take him up on it and he came Monday morning. The work was done quickly and he explained almost minute-by-minute what he was doing and why. I was impressed that he actually ran between his truck and my garage. Robert is friendly, fast and knowledgeable.

Showerhead wasn't shutting off completely; had a constant and increasing drip. Mr. Hegarty came promptly and on time per our phone discussion. The fixtures are old and he didn't have the parts with him. He removed and capped off the shower head to stop the leak until his return, but the next day I noticed that the bedroom carpet on the opposite side of the wall from the shower was soaked through with water. I called him and he came at once and determined that the pipe he'd capped off had a crack in it. The top of the pipe broke off at the threads. Without the shower head on it, the had water backed up through the crack and down the inside of the wall. Fortunately, it hadn't gone on too long. He was able to replace the bad parts and it has worked fine since then.

When I noticed that the wax ring which seals the toilet base to the plumbing was deteriorated I went on Angie's List and chose to phone Mr.Hegarty's plumbing business. He answered the phone and we made an appointment for him to come out the following day to look at the problem seal. He got right to work after arriving on time. Mr.Hegarty was very professional as he spread a small work cloth on the floor and used it for his tools and the debris which he cleaned up. It was worse than I thought as it had been installed badly, not enough bolts were used and the wood sub-floor showed signs of rot. After giving me a price to replace the faulty wax seal I asked him to please fix my problem as I thought that his price was very reasonable...I think it was around $40.00. He cleaned off the old wax from the surfaces of the toilet and sewer pipe. He was very diligent and did a thorough job of preparing the site for the new seal which he installed very quickly. He did a first class job and this time my toilet was fully bolted to the floor. I am very appreciative of his professional work ethic and for not leaving me any mess to clean up after he left. Good job! Mr. Hegarty.

Leaking pipes make me very, very nervous. Past experiences with faulty plumbing have always proven extensive and quite costly. So when our pipes started to excessively leak under the kitchen sink, my husband decided we probably couldn't afford to call a professional . . . it was better for him to try and fix it. Here's what we couldn't afford - the months and months of arguing during which time the pipes continued to leak, and the problem became progressively worse. I was very anxious about calling a plumber, and by the time I called Richard at Hegarty Plumbing the leaking was so bad I figured my bill would contain a lot of "zeros" at the end of some number. Not the case! Richard was able to show up to my home within 48 hours (which I thought would just be for an initial inspection), and within 35 minutes of being in my home a problem that had plagued my family for MONTHS was FIXED! Months and months of arguing, headaches and frustration were wiped out in a matter of minutes for less than $85. Richard was professional, highly skilled and speedy. I was so impressed, I made sure to grab some of his cards to pass out to other people in need of an excellent plumber. Knowing a great plumber is an invaluable asset when it comes to home repair. Hegarty Plumbing is one number I will never hesitate to call.

I was very impressed that Mr. Hegarty carefully explained the probable cause of the original leak and that it was probably not necessary to replace the valve. Most repairmen, with whom I have done business in the past, would have replaced the valve, whether it was necessary or not. Or, they would have noted the age of the water heater and insisted that the entire unit should be replaced. After hearing my concern regarding potential damage to my floor if the leak did happen again, Mr. Hegarty provided a practical, low cost solution to that potential problem. Mr. Hegarty arrived on time for our appointment, completed the required work quickly and professionally and impressed me that he would be a craftsman with whom I would want to do business in the future.

Considering I live across the country and this is a rental house the repair process went very well. I will use his services again in the future if there is a plumbing problem.

Purchased a house 3 months ago, after moving in noticed two of our toilets ran slow (found 1 actually hooked to hot water), two sinks leaked slightly and one of the shower controls reversed (cold on left, hot on right). Called Hegarty on Tuesday, made appointment for Thursday. Bob arrived 15 minutes early and used shoe covers every time he came in the house. I showed him the problems and he went right to work. He kept me informed of activity and asked me questions regarding how he should proceed as appropriate. He quickly fixed leaks in two of our "salad bowl" sinks (don't ever buy these things,, as a design element they may look good but they are a pain to work on),, the two toilets were also fixed very quickly (both needed new internal parts). When the upstairs remodeled (before we bought) apparently the plumber they used reversed the hot and cold water,, so Bob was able to reverse the shower controller so that hot on proper side and will be out to reverst the water to the upstairs toilet. Bob was great to work with, very professional and wasted no time. Price in my opinion was right on. He also pointed out potential future problems (previous owner liked to use liberal applications of silicon sealer) so will keep an eye on those. We will schedule time for him to come back and repair the hot/cold water to upstairs toilet next week. I will keep his number handy and use him again should need arise. Mike

As I said above, the job was done in an excellent, timely, and economical manner.

He was able to squeeze me in between other clients so that I could get the leak repaired the day I called. He was quick and efficient in doing the repairs.

Robert Hegarty was prompt, professional, courteous and worked quickly. He replaced a leaking/broken garbage disposal and a bathroom faucet. I am having him come back to do an install of a water line later this week.

He was running behind due to the job before me. He called to notify me and was there 15 minutes after our scheduled time. He got straight to work, told me what he was doing and what he believed the problem was. After 25 minutes of digging he let me know he could not locate the problem and someone else should dig (he wasn't willing to charge me his rate to dig out the pipe). He asked me to call him when I located the origin of the problem. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable throughout.

Mr Hegarty showed up ahead of schedule. He explained the process and then converted our propane grill to natural gas and connected it to our natural gas line. He checked everything for leaks and finished in a timely manner.

Our 30+ year water heater decided to retire! Called, they returned my call in a flash. They were out the next morning and had it installed and ready to go in less than an hour. I thought it would take all day. fast and freindly! Hagarty will be my go to Plumber!

Our toilet was slowly leaking on the wood floor. I called Mr. Hegerty, and to our delight, as it turned out, he wasn't too far from our neighborhood. He arrived within the hour and fixed the problem 30 minutes later. We were relieved that it was a much simpler problem than anticipated. While he was there, we asked him for some advice about a drainage problem with our claw-foot tub. He described the problem & entertained some possible solutions with my husband. Sadly, it's a bigger problem that was not going to be resolved in a day. We really appreciated his prompt response to our phone call. We definitely recommend him & will call him again if we need a plumber.

We needed a new water heater. We called Robert Hegarty Plumbing Services on Monday and he came with a new water heater on Tuesday. He was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Perfect... Called Robert and left a message, he called back the same day -- after business hours -- and was able to schedule us in exactly when we needed him (timing was critical because the new sink and granite countertops were going in, and everything had to be timed right). He was on time, professional, did a great job.

Fast, efficient, knowledgeable. Diagnosed why the old unit had failed and how to prevent a recurrence. Great experience, would recommend Mr. Hegarty to anyone.

I called at 9 am. He had another call ahead of me and said he would call me at approximately 12 noon to let me know either way if he could make it out today. He called about 11:30 and said he would be there in about 45 minutes. He was here at 12:15 pm . He completed the task within 30 minutes. No extra charge for being out of town. Very professional and besides that--he's very nice! Will definitely use him again.

The job went smoothly. He arrived on time and quickly fixed the problem. Outstanding professionalism and quality in the work done. We were impressed. The price was outstanding! We had been quoted off-hand by a contractor that they knew someone that would charge $200 to dig up and replace the nozzle, so when we saw the bill was only $135 for the great work he had done, we were ecstatic! I would definitely recommend Hegarty to anyone I know. I am happy I looked on Angie's list before going with someone else. This is the plumber you want to do your work.

He is very good. He did quality work. I will use him again in the future.
