The new GM has resolved my problem and u will return to emerald pool for parts and service I really appreciate him resolving my problem thank you very much. Eug emerald pool and spa has the worse service manager in the world he Pat is rude crude and disgusting I have been a comptroller for 17 yrs in retail business cars and rv for 27 yrs total and if one of my managers talked to a customer the way the awful manager did I would fire Pat in a second. Pat told me if i paid my bills you wouldn't be in this mess! pay your bills i'm not going to call the comptroller your lazy and don't pay your bills i don't care about your account. He is a total lost for your company I will never go back to the service dept again. I got a new doughboy pool and all acc. including a pump and its been rebuilt 4 times and it didn't run again this yr so 5 times in 3 yrs and I got a call from collection company never been in collections my whole life I have perfect credit score I worked hard to keep my credit perfect so today I had to pay $113.00 so it didn't go on my bureau and I had a service invoice that says due from customer zero paid by service and when my husband picked up pump they said no charge. Then talking to service manager Pat was worthless never got a call from there so called comptroller no response from her. I have never known a comptroller not calling a customer before turning into collections so she needs a lesson in business 101!!

I had repair person come to repair one small leak and one speaker wire. After initial repair, there was still a small leak and the radio no longer had any power. Tried to schedule follow service twice, but person never showed up. (I took time off work to be here for him) A month later, repair person showed up without an appointment, when no one was home, and did repairs that were not authorized. (my radio worked before first repair call and was not working after first repair person left). They claimed it was a power unit for the whole radio that needed repair ($250.00 plus service fee). They did this work without talking to me. I could not understand how it had power before repair person came and be totally blown out after he left. Obviously the repair person knew he blew the power as he never wanted to show up when I was home. The office claimed that he now no longer works for them. (big surprise). The solution, I pay them for the part (that they blew) and they not charge me for labor.
Description of Work: Repair person came out twice and left hot tub in worse shape than when I called.

I had problems with what they did initially and they came back. They couldn't figure out what went wrong and ended up charging me more. I had to deal with different workers everytime they came out. They added sand to a sand filter and when I started bursted. It has been ongoing with them for about three years. They repaired things that weren't broken.
Description of Work: The workers seemed inexperienced. They had trouble locating and installnig equipment that I paid for. They were not responsive to problems that developed with their work.

The hot tub came with the house and had leaks. They came and advised us not to spend the money to repair it, it was low end and old.
Description of Work: Checked out a leak in the hot tub.

Description of Work: Our older, but relatively trouble-free Sundance Spa (purchased from Emerald in the 90's) wouldn't power on. Emerald's spa guy squeezed us in next day. Diagnosed a fried capacitor and replaced it on-site.

Description of Work: Wow, where to begin. We moved into our home in 2004. During the sale process we were told by our realtor we had a really nice bonus to look forward to. The previous owner had only recently purchased a Sundance Maxxus hot tub. This is a top line spa that cost in excess of 10K. The listing realtor had even mentioned that the spa had never actually been used, although filled with water for several months while the home was up for sale. The spa was purchased from Emerald Pool and Patio in Eugene Oregon. From the first time we used the spa there were problems. I could go on and on at this point about the lack of quality of the spa itself, just to say however that neither of us have ever owned anything that even remotely comes close to the number of times the spa has failed to work. One problem after another. What has been most frustrating is the lack of customer service by the dealer. The guys that have come out to perform the work have been great, but although the dealer is well aware of the continuing problems we have had for these last seven years NEVER one time has the management followed up to see if there was anything they could do for us. We even contacted the manufacturer ourselves since we were getting no help from the dealer, and the manufacturer attempted to remedy the situation with what we were told was an "experimental" circulation pump. This didn't make any difference, and we continue to wear out circulation pumps about every ten months. The dealer has no problem selling us pumps, but do nothing to actually work to solve the problem permanently. Our suggestion to anyone interested in purchasing a spa, is simply to steer clear of Emerald Pool and Patio.

I gave 'C' ratings because I averaged out the bad experiences with the final good one. I would consider working with this company again, since I've had the chance to speak and deal with the owner, and he absolutely behaved the way you'd want a company to behave who had wronged you and wanted to make things right. I believe the owner to be a man of integrity who considers the customer's satisfaction his best achievement.
Description of Work: I had a very bad experience with this company for about 10 months after they installed a new woodstove in my home (installer caused damage to my roof and I had repeated leaks). Turns out, however, they had a bad employee installing for them, doing bad work, unbeknownst to the boss. Once I wised up and contacted the owner, things began to go better. In the end the owner of the company did his utmost to make the situation right, and everything is now satisfactorily resolved."
