Great. Everything from start to finish was done right, from the call for repair to the repair itself. Jake was the repairman and came in and fixed my refrigerator in less than an hour. He talked to me about the problem and showed me what wasn't working right. I am very happy with the whole diagnosis and repair experience.
Description of Work: Water leaking into the refrigerator, filling bottom of refrigerator with water. Wasn't defrosting right.

Description of Work: We shopped for a washing machine and a stove at Don's. There were REALLY GREAT, PROFESSIONAL, and VERY CARING people working there!! Their prices were a little higher than some other stores at the time. Therefore we went and looked elsewhere.

We called for service on our refrigerator. Most companies will not travel outside of the Eugene area but Don's Maytag said they would drive the extra distance to help us. Our refrigerator was going to be too expensive to repair so we went to their store after going to 2 other appliance stores including Sears. We purchased a side by side refrigerator and and a KitchenAide stove top from them. They were wonderful to do business with, their prices were in line with other stores but they are able to service as well. They are a family operated business who gave us the service we couldn't get elsewhere.

We called on Thursday afternoon. They scheduled a technician who called the following morning, saying he would arrive between one and three o'clock. He did. Dylan was personable and professional. He knew the appliances inside and out, and diagnosed the problems. He replaced the bearings in the washer, and the motor in the dryer. I tried to fix the dryer myself last week, and failed. They forgave me, and the cost of repair was less than I feared it would be, and right on target with their estimate. Much better than having to buy a new dryer or washer.

I was leaving for vacation in a couple days and my washer died. I really needed clean clothes! I called Don's because I had met Brad the owner and his daughter Rachel. Rachel sent Jake-the-repair-guy over shortly after I called. Although he did not have the part I needed, he found a and quot;loaner partand quot; for the machine so I could do the washing. What service! This is a small family business and they are so very tuned in to their customers' needs.

Excellent information and service.
Description of Work: Purchased a washing machine. Very informative and helpful without pressuring us for a sale and gave us an excellent discount because of a very small ding which he pointed out to us and we could hardly see. Has been in business for a number of years. We are ready to purchase a new stove and will go back to Don's.

I called Don's Maytag Appliance Center on Monday, December 19, and called back several minutes later with make and model of the appliance (dishwasher) needing a service call. The service call was scheduled for the following Wednesday, December 21, with no time frame given. When I called on Wednesday morning to see if the time frame had tightened up a bit, I was told they had no record of the planned call - this despite two separate phone calls from me to provide information when setting the appointment. I checked my phone record to make sure I hadn't called another company by mistake, but it confirmed that I had indeed been in contact with Don's Maytag Appliance Center. The man I spoke with today, who said there was no record of my appointment, apologized but did not make any effort to squeeze me in or make an exception; he simply offered the next available appointment, which was two days later. Very disappointing.

The technician was a little cross at first. I think it was because it was late in the day on Friday, but not my fault. He was suppose to be at my house first thing in the morning. I knew my refridgerator was bad (freezer completely frosted in) but when he opened the door he about messed his pants because and said this is one of the worst I've ever seen. That is when I said to him, 'This is why I wanted you to be here this morning, I knew it was really bad.' and quot;You where right,and quot; he responded. I told him because it was so late I'm sure he would like to go home to his family and start his weekend that he could come back on Monday. But he insisted on saying to fix it. Which he did and he was there until about 7pm. I felt bad but it wasn't my fault. He did fix the problem but he did not put my refridgerator back together (which was suppose to be part of the service call) I told him I would do it because it was so late. Him staying late and actually FIXING the problem is was saved me from giving this company anymore than a C grade. The technician was great. The schedule maker/office needs some work.
Description of Work: The technician was very knowledgeable about my appliance and was able to fix it. He was also mostly nice and a professional. The one thing I have a problem with is that I called for an appointment 2 weeks in advance so I could choose the date and time that worked best for me, which was on a Friday in the morning. The person I spoke to on the phone said that there where no other service calls yet for that day, I will be the first on the list, and there will be no problem getting me in first. However when that Friday came around I got a phone call from the technician at 8:00am thinking that they where telling me that they are on their way. WRONG! He was calling to inform me that he would be there "sometime between 2 and 5." I told him that isn't what I had agreed to and he responded by telling me that it wasn't his fault and that the office are the ones responsible for scheduling (he showed up at 4:45!). I felt totally used and that the 'office people' really don't give a darn about what you think because they know you are at their mercy. Needless to say that my day was completely shot and I lost revenue at MY business waiting for them because my office was not yet in my new house where the appliance is. All they had to do was come in the morning like they had said they where going to and I would have given them a much better rating.

My daughter's dryer simply quit. Washing clothes for a family of four doesn't make a dead dryer an option. I contacted another service company and found their flat fee would be $129 plus parts. When I called Don's Appliance Repair the woman who answered was courteous, informational, and responsive. She told me it was probably a fuse as the starters on dryers generally don't need to be replaced. I found out their flat fee was $66.50 plus parts. The repairman was at the house within half an hour and it took him 15 minutes to repair. He cleaned up the mess that was made by pulling the dryer out too. I told him at the time I would recommend his company to anyone I could. I would definitely call them again.
