Description of Work: Originally called in to replace rain damaged drywall in bedroom ceiling, approximately 3ft square; to replace rotted window sill and threshold, and bock up unused fireplace in a curved space. Estimate was $650, approximately. In all fairness, more damage appeared than was visible on surface. There was extensive rot and mold and damage found in ceiling when old drywall removed. they said it couldn't/ shouldn't be replaced until it dried out and planned roof replacement had occurred. David was the main worker, and he covered it up inadequately sit flimsy plastic sheeting that noisily billowed in every breeze from above and below .At my request as I was still sleeping in that room, after two weeks they nailed and duct taped a piece of drywall over the hole. The duct tape loosened and flapped after one day.... The window sill had more rot that initially appeared and required the removal of the outer and inner walls. The worker did not know how to shore up the framing and relied on the occasional visits of Victor to give him guidance. When he came to the plastering job it was VERY badly done and had to be redone two or three times to Victor's satisfaction. The threshold replacement was delayed for several weeks.the fireplace wall required some clever improvisation on Victo's part, but to accommodate the cured space, but again, David's plastering had to be done and redone. i paid David extra to remove old fireplace tile and replace with other tile.at no time did he cover floors or furniture and the house was filled with cement dust. Obviously my displeasure and repeated requests for a more presentable job rankled, because although Victor was at all times agreeable and courteous, he did not return my calls re making an appointment to finish the bedroom ceiling drywall which was the initial service call. nice guys, but unsatisfactory work.
