Chuck came promptly and took pictures and discussed possibilities for the project. We are waiting for drawings. Considering our knowledge of Chuck Bailey's current and prior works, we are anxiously willing to wait!

Chuck met with us a few times, offering a variety of suggestions. Once we selected the concept, he drew up the plans. He also helped us select a contractor. During the construction process, Chuck met with us and the contractor to review the progress. Because our house is so old, we did not really know what was inside the walls until we started the demolition. Chuck was always available for consultation when we hit a snag. He was also available to meet with inspectors when we were finished with the project. The best advice he gave us was selecting the contractor. The entire process took only four months.
Description of Work: We hired Chuck to design remodeling plans for our 1925-era home. We wanted to add a small office, enlarge a bedroom & add a bathroom.

Chuck (architect) was great! We had some major problems to deal with in remodeling the area (needed new sink and the existing drain pipes were encased in the concrete floor, there were 4 hallways/doors opening into the area, and as a non-profit we had a limited budget). Chuck was undaunted by the situation, cheerful, creative and encouraging. When the first estimate came in much higher than we could afford, he quickly said let's meet with the contractor. He came up with some new designs that both the contractor and I thought were brilliant and as a result the project came in much closer to our budget. He's such a pleasure to work with. The project was completed on time and it's a great space.
Description of Work: Remodeled large meeting area to accomodate work areas for 8 staff with cubicles, office, receptionist area, and welcoming area.

contacted this company regarding a VA accessibility remodel job. It turned out that they are actually more architectural services than contractors, but they gave me the name and contact info for the contractor we eventually used and were very helpful.

Overall it went great. If I were to do it again I would take more time with the final details to be sure I understood the plans. This was my first experience where I had so much input. My last remodel I did with time and materials and honestly was in so much grief that I let the builder and designer make most of the decisions and it was beautiful. That experience was in another state
Description of Work: My 1970s home needed pop. I wanted someone who could create from what existed. I wanted someone who could use the concept of architect Susan Saranka of "The Not So Big House" Remodel. Mr. Bailey and his co-architect, Mr. Albrecht transformed my little house. They were present for me start to finish and recommended Windheim Construction that worked out extremely well. After a less than stellar start with another popular area company I felt relief as I listened to these two talk through light, walls, and why I could or should not put doors or windows in certain places. I couldnt be more pleased.
