Avoid Cascade Garden Equipment at all costs. I brought my power washer to Cascade Garden Equipment since gas was leaking out the carburetor and was told by two employees, one of which wrote up my order, that it was likely a stuck float. I left it and not long after I got home I had a phone call that they replaced the carb and to come pick it up. The cost of repair was $139.00. After getting it home it started but was belching blue smoke and barely running before quitting altogether. I brought it back and two days later I get a call telling me the cam was broken and it would cost more to repair than to buy a new machine. Then I was told I was fortunate they wouldn’t charge me for their evaluation, not a hint of their own failed diagnosis. Trust me, I am totally comfortable in going down and getting in their face for the terrible customer service and thievery, but it wasn’t worth my time. Shame on them. There’s many small engine repair shops all over Eugene, don’t blow your time on money on Cascade Garden Equipment.

What a HORRIBLE PLACE. Rude and inconsiderate. I rented a Uhaul truck to be picked up at this location. I was under the impression I could pick up with my phone but the business required a hand delivery, were you have to actually do business with the location. So I had to wait until 8 am when they opened. Having to go to work at 8:30 I was picking up a truck for my husband to use at his business, so assuming my reservation was at 8 we had plenty of time. I came at 7:55 and the doors are open, open sign on, and a customer was already trying to check out ....so it looked promising -except the gentleman behind the counter had no clue what he was doing, and couldn’t ring up the mans items. He was waiting for a clerk to show- whom did right at 8. After the clerk explains how use the register, the clerk finally acknowledged me being in the store, first person to do so. A minute later, asks me what I need- I explain my rental, and he says well unfortunately uhaul requires training which I don’t have but the lady that does will be here 8:20-8:30??! I said no, that won’t work I have work at 8:30 that’s why I made this reservation for a certain time ......Just then mister knows nothing from the behind the counter says -well maybe you should use your phone? 👍... I said to him, I did that’s how I have the reservation and he then says -well that’s the way it is little girl.😳😱👀😶 I’m 40 ******* years old -old man, and if you don’t know what your talking about you should not open your mouth!!! How dare this establishment treat people this way. I’m a very hard working American I don’t and won’t stand for this kind of treatment to a female or any human being —-you sir are a *******!!! Wish I could be a fly on the wall when Karma hits you square in the eyes dude!

Horrific customer service and service I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DEATH DUE TO THERE NEGLECT! I called due to a problem with a repair TO MY LAWN MOVER from a year ago I used the lawn mover one time before we ended up moving. I went to use the lawn mover for the first since the move about a month ago. The mover started sparking and it turned out a bolt was not tightened and there was $160 in damage. I had another company pick up the lawn mower to ***** what was wrong with it. When I was told the problem I called the Cascade and informed them of what happened. I have phone records to prove it I was on the phone for 4 minutes on 06/08/2021 at 3:29pm the representative on the phone said over and over you called a different place even though I didn't..... I offered to send a copy of my phone bill showing that I did call the right place. The first person I spoke with said that some one tried to call the other place but no one answered or called back so they didn't call me back. The woman on the phone said no one said that. THIS IS NOT OK THE LAWN MOVER HAD SPARKS COMING FROM IT DUE TO POOR WORKMANSHIP DO NOT GO TO THEM I WILL BE LOOKING INTO FURTHER ACTION! DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I brought in the mower to get a problem fixed. The technician did that, but forgot to do the tune up. The mower wouldn't start after initial visit. I called and spoke with the owner and he said to bring it back in for the tune up. My mower was at the top of the list to get the tune up and was done within a couple of hours. It works great now.

It was deplorable. After 3 weeks and 5 calls as to the status of my trimmer, I was put off with promises to call me back that never happened, and nothing but employees (and the owner) finger pointing at each other for their poor service. It is my opinion that the customer should always come first. That IS NOT the goal of this operation at all. I finally went and got my trimmer, which had not been touched. The owner handed it back to me like he was doing me a favor. This is a man who owns a business, but he apparently can not do anything to function as a man who runs a business with integrity or pride. He could have at least looked at it himself! Shame, shame on you Mr. Peabody!
Description of Work: I brought my gas powered string trimmer in for a "tune up". It was starting ok, but was idling roughly and probably just needed some adjusting.

Lawn mower would not start towards the end of last fall. Forgot about it until this spring when we needed to mow the lawn. Took the mower in and was told they wouldn't be able to get to it for two weeks because of the number of customers ahead of us. When I didn't hear from them at the two week mark, I called the next business day (Monday). They apologized because they were a little more behind than they anticipated and would have it figured out by the end of the week. Got a call Tuesday that it was ready to go. Fuel had gone bad. They drained the fuel, flushed the system, and it's running great now. Also was given information on how to prevent this from happening again and an education in what happens to our fuel before it reaches the gas station. Very informative, friendly, and professional staff!

I have been going to Cascade for 3 years now, and this is the 2nd time it has taken well over a month to get my equipment back. I took 2 mowers to them on March 30th and as of May 12th, I still do not have one of them back. I was told it would be about a week. When I didn't hear from them for about 2 weeks, I called and was told 1 mower was finished, the other needed parts and would be ready in about a week. I explained I'd rather make 1 trip and pick up both mowers at the same time, so I'd wait and get them both when the 2nd one was ready. Didn't hear back from them, called and was told they weren't sure whether the parts had come in or not, but there was a big pile of boxes in the back and they'd take a look. Didn't hear back, called and was told instead of receiving a lifter for each side, they received 2 lifters for the same side, so they'd have to wait for the correct parts. I finally gave up and went in to pick up the mower that was ready. The tune-up on that cost $99. I expressed my frustration at how long this was going on and that it didn't seem like any progress was made on my mower until I called each time, at which point the next step would be taken and it would sit there until I called again. I also explained my frustration was heightened because this is pretty much exactly what happened a year or two ago with another mower I brought in. They apologized and offered explanations that sounded like excuses. I asked if they would deliver the 2nd mower to my house free of charge when it was finished because I didn't want to have to come out again. They agreed, but I was surprised I had to ask for this. And then the saga continued for another 3 weeks: no word, I call, they apologize, no word, I call, etc... Finally I got a call that it was finished and I owed $209. I promptly paid for that over the phone, and then waited the rest of the day to find out when the mower would be delivered. No call. This morning I, once again, called them. The mower is supposed to be delivered 2-1/2 days after I paid for the repairs. A big part of my frustration has to do with their lack of follow-through which makes their apologies seem meaningless, and makes me feel like they have very little regard for me as their customer. Twice is enough. I will not use them again.

Found out about Cascade on Angies list and I'm glad I did. This is a small shop specializing in lawn and garden equipment. I thought my lawn mower was toast but I came to find out here that it was not - pleasant surprise. Had oil in the air cleaner which looked bad to me but they fixed it all up with their standard maintenance service. Very reasonable cost and my mower runs like a top now. I'll be taking it in this fall so I'm ready to go next spring.

They are very busy this time of year in preparation for Spring and the had a Register Guard promotion going on. They completed the work requested in timely manner and the work was satisfactory at a fair price. No complaints.

I was quite satisfied with the transaction. Seller was professional and very helpful in describing use of the machine and answering questions regarding the machine and the availability of follow-up service and parts. Excellent attitude and most courteous. I have the feeling that if there should be problems regarding this equipment, the company will be very helpful. Seller agreed to a modest discount for paying in cash. Overally, a pleasant experience.

It went well. He found a worn drive gear in the wheel that was not discussed. This could have been quite a delay, but he had the parts on hand. The Honda dealer didn't have parts on hand for a Honda mower.

I had previously replaced the clutch on the 13hp unit due to a lack of power in all 4 gears (under warranty and using a different company for the repair); the unit worked fine for a short time. No longer under warranty I decided to use Cascade this time, and they could have easily done another clutch replacement or could have come up with some other costly explanation for the problem, but they did not; instead they looked for the root of the problem. In checking over the machine they discovered only some minor adjustments that needed to be made and that's all they did. The machine is running at optimal performance now. Same with the 17hp unit; there again performing some minor adjustments and the machine is functioning as it should. The cost was very reasonable and the time it took (considering it was during the busy season) was not long at all; they had the 17hp for about a week to 10 days and the 13hp for about 2 weeks. I recommend this company if you own a DR that needs service.
Description of Work: Cascade did service and repair work on both my 13hp and 17hp DR Field & Brush Mowers. On the 17hp unit they adjusted the timing a little higher to accommodate the requirements of the generator attachment; checked all of the belts, pulleys, chain and drive mechanisms; did a tune up replacing spark plug, oil, etc.; sharpened the blades on the mowing deck; adjusted the starter for better performance when starting; at a cost of $67. On the 13hp unit, they checked and adjusted the starter; did a cable adjustment; adjusted the drive; at a cost of $20.
