Donna, at the Portland store, was terrific explaining differences, options, and details of different choices. Michael, who tore our old countertops off did a thorough clean job and was delightful. The installers were two nice professional guys who gave us further information and did a great job. The only snafu in this whole process was the scheduler who apparently made errors resulting in the job getting done four days late with many and varied stories every day that were at odds with the explanation(for the late installation) given by the installer. Was very frustrating to go without countertops and sink an additional four days especially when we find out it was a "scheduling error" and not a previous "job that was taking longer" and "the installer had a personal emergency". It would have been much easier had she said "I'm sorry. I made a mistake here". We came back from vacation to be here on our scheduled day! When I wrote the store here and their headquarters in Eugene,no response.

Donna and other people at the Portland store were very helpful and knowledgeable and the store was well laid out. The installation went well, but there was a mishap. During templating a tool that was under the template fell into the fireclay sink and made a 1 inch nick in the finish and we did not realize it at the time. I called the installer expecting that he might not believe me and there might be some disagreement. He immediately said, I will cut you a check for a new sink or whatever makes you happy. I was blown away by his cooperation. I then called Bennett to discuss. They were similarly concerned and were reluctant to have me get it repaired if I would not be fully satisfied. It took our cabinet maker about 6 hours to custom install and I did not want to go through that again and it would stall the counter order. I therefore had it repaired and Bennett reimbursed me. We have had the countertop about 3 months and absolutely love it. It lives up to Quarts reputation.

I met them at the home show and they returned a bid for countertops. They were very nice, and I almost used them. But it did take them a while to get back to me each time. They were only able to communicate with me by phone and didn't leave messages with bids. I had to call them during business hours to get it. They also couldn't email me or accept emails, which was frustrating. But they were really nice.
