Description of Work: This was the shadiest real estate transaction we have experienced! We were attempting to buy a house and Barnhart was the listing agency. Although it had been on the market for 6 plus months, w/o an offer, when we made our offer, suddenly a second offer appeared. It was for approx. $10,000 less, but was accepted! Turns out the other buyer was an acquaintance of the listing agent. We were later contacted by the seller who had questions...An inquiry with the state licensing board ensued, but was inconclusive due to lack of paper trail. (Note...always put details in writing!) While we have had many positive real estate experiences with other agencies, this one was most disillusioning.

+ -1 moreMarie Due assisted my daughter with the purchase of her first home. Marie then sold my wife's home and assisted us with the purchase of our new home. Marie has been with us through 3 real estate transactions and we will use her for our future transactions as well. I can't say enough good things. about our experience. She and Barnhart are knowledgeable, up to date and fortunately very patient. Marie guided us through our decision process and must have taken us to view well over 20 homes over several months!! We are very satisfied with our new home and have Marie and Barnhart to thank for it.
Description of Work: Over the last few years my family has purchased two homes and sold one. All transactions were using Barnhart and specifically Marie Due as our agent.

Relocating from out of town, Jade was in constant contact with us, really listened to our criteria for a house and gave us some great options. When we came into town she spent hours with us showing us a wide variety of houses and really working with us to understand our needs. We found a house very quickly and she really streamlined the litany of paperwork and made the transaction very easy.
Description of Work: Jade was the real-estate agent that we worked with when we relocated to Eugene from out of town. She did preliminary assessments, showed us houses when we visited, mediated the negotiation process and worked with the lender and escrow agent to make the transaction as streamlined as possible.
