Description of Work: Associated heating came out and performed a routine Angie's list maintenance check. The tech was professional and courteous. So much up-selling! I appreciate that these deals are a way to get in and sell, but wow. Quite extensive on the opportunities to spend without any real feeling that everything being offered was really necessary.

Description of Work: I purchased my home about 6 years ago and saw their name on the air handler. So I called to get on their yearly maintenance plan. Every year that they came they found something that needed to be replaced. This year I asked the tech that came to service my heat pump, who worked for Associated only a few months, some pointed questions. He admitted to me that the techs get a commission on everything that they sell. So it behooved them to replace as many parts as possible. |I was also upset that the last 2 years that I was due for my yearly maintenance they didn't contact me. I had to call them both times and they told me that they were "just about to call". Once it was a month late and the following year they were 2 months late. |And the final straw was their last visit this past February. The tech told me that everything was great and he'd see me next year. Within 2 1/2 weeks I had a heat problem, called another company, and was told that my heat pump was shot. I called 2 other companies, got 3 quotes and I now am happy with a new gas furnace and a/c. |I would never allow Associated back in my home.

Description of Work: The service technician checked and re-charged my heat pump with freon. He diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, explained that there was a slow leak in the unit, and added freon. It has worked perfect ever since.
