The initial work went really well. The installers were fantastic- nice, courteous, clean, meticulous about their work. I have no complaints about any of the installation work, the installers or the initial job. The heat worked great when they were finished, I needed a couple of adjustments to the vents and they came back and fixed that, and I would actually love to give them a great review. But then summer came and the air conditioner did not work. It stayed on all day long and did not cool the house one degree. I was worried so I called them. They did not want to come out to see what was wrong, so I called York. The York rep came and said they installed the wrong coil, the wrong THX valve, and needed to add a filter. He said this coil would never work as there is no formula for how much refrigerant to use because I now had a mismatched system. He said that within a year the compressor would probably fail, and you would never know it was because of the wrong coil. I sent this report to Associated who kept putting me off for over a month (think summer, no air conditioning and I had just spent $6000 on it). They were discussing what they could do, how they might be able to fix it, then they were trying to figure out different parts that might make it work, etc, etc. I said "I don't understand why you don't just replace the coil for the right one. It is an easy $200 fix. We shouldn't even be discussing it". I finally threatened with the CCB and then they came out and "fixed" it. That is when the real trouble started. I am still not sure it is the right coil. They system has never improved. The repair person was not nice. He refused to tell me what he was doing or explain things to me. He said he was the technician and I did not need to know what he was doing. Really? I am the homeowner and I don't need to know what you are doing to my house? How can that be? Then I wanted the fan adjusted higher, so I emailed and asked if they had adjusted the fan speed at all? He asked the repairman and said "No, he said he didn't touch it". Then I paid another $99 to have him come adjust the fan speed, and when he got here he said he already adjusted it higher the last time he was here. He had lied to his boss and lied to me about changing the fan speed, and then charged me for the visit. Now I wonder what else he lied about. I am still having issues with the system and will now need to hire a different company to fix it. So, I think their installation team is great. But if you have any issues, you will be stuck with their repair team who is not so great (and they said they sent me their best guy, he has been there for years). And if your system has any issues, they do not seem to care and they also did not honor their warranty about their service calls.

I am very pleased with the experience. All of my concerns were addressed, even though all were minor. I did ask for buckwheat pancakes, and while they did not bring any, I understand they agreed with my preference over plain pancakes. Seriously, good experience, and will use them again as needed.

I know that ductless heating doesn’t work with my floor plan but I don’t know if I want to invest the money for a ducted heating system. I liked Associated best because they really took an interest in everything. All the estimates were about the same so I need to figure out who I want to do the work. I am leaning toward Associated.

They were very professional and did quite well. They were very mindful of my home so as not to damage anything. The system itself is operating just fine. They were very knowledgeable and willing to accomidate my needs.

Decided to replace the old Electric Heater with a gas heater... Got tired of paying EWEB $400/month in winter for heat. While I was at it, decided to remove as many power driven high cost devices as possible, so the Hot Water heater was slated for death as well as the electric stove. Got bid from Associated, I was a bit surprised as the bid process included three people, (which I was not expecting), but they were all very nice. The bit was in the 7K range for both items, and a conversion to Gas with a pipe run to the stove location. All went smoothly, Associated coordinated everything, and everyone arrived on time, did the work, then left. All very professional, and efficient. The heater runs great, and Associated has done some follow up contacts to make sure things are fine. All in all a fine experience. Addendum: 09/30/12 I got some mail from Associated, with a survey asking how I liked things... Very nice to see a company that actually cares about the finished product AFTER they were paid!

Associated Heating does a very nice job. The did a very competent job, arrived on time, worked, and left. They were not messing around.

They were punctual and I would use them in the future.

They are very professional and very courteous. They've been very responsive. They are very respectful about trying to not make any mess in your house and clean up any mess that they do make. The price is reasonable for the work that they've done. We have them out a couple of times to help us evaluate things and they've sort of written proposals, not all of which we have acted on, but they come back and see if we do stuff even if we haven't followed through. It's not always been the same person, but they seem to all have a very helpful, courteous upbeat attitude.

Overall, I will continue using Associated yearly and as needed for service. I appreciate the professionalism shownand can't legitimately complain about anything.

Associated Heating representative came and gave us the estimate of the cost to replace A/C and gas furnace. The person was very knowledgable. He told us what it would cost, and we had to bargain a bit. We brought down the price by about 15%. The job was done very efficiently by very polite workers. It took only a day for the whole job. They arranged for city inspections for electrical and mechanical work, and all work was to the code. I would recommend this company strongly.

They answer the phone and get you on the schedule as fast as possible. They are a good outfit all around. We signed a contract with them to do all of our service work. We found them on Angie's List.

I got a special deal, group rate. You can't beat the price! I will absolutely use them in the future.

They do come annually and do everything. If they have to replace something they do it, and the annual fee acts like an insurance premium I pay. I will continue to use them in the future.

They are fantastic. You can call them whenever you want to, day and night, twenty four hours a day and they will come out. They do installations and they do repairs. It took about an hour for them to do the job.

We asked the salesman to come to our home twice, the first time to educate us on our options and give us a bid, and the next time to answer questions. In the meantime we got one other bid. By the second visit we had pretty much decided to go ahead but we did have some questions about the system and price options. We were satisfied with the offer and time frame. The system was installed exactly as promised. We were surprised by how quickly we knew we had made the right decision. We are using less energy, we will have cooling for the first time in 25 years of living in our house, and the surprise was how even the heat feels. We did not realize before that there were pockets of air in our house that were different temperatures. It turns out an even temperature feels much more comfortable. The internal units are very quiet. The sound of the outdoor unit through the south wall took some getting used to, but we have adjusted. Overall, we are very happy with the outcome.

They are an excellent company. We will continue to use them in the future.

He did an exceptional job. He worked with me on the price. He explained everything to me. We received bids from about five or six contractors. Their bid wasn't the cheapest, but we got a great feeling from them. We knew that they would take care of us after the sale.

They have two different services, and we get discounted rates because we bought our system through them. They also have a membership. We live in a big community park and they send out flyers every six months and do the yearly service for $39 instead of $100 and something. They are really inexpensive. We had one problem when something went wrong outside with the wires due to the weather and they sent a young guy who did not know how to fix it and he put something upside down. We called and told them that it was still not working and they sent a guy out immediately. It was after hours and he got it fixed at no charge. They are just always on time and friendly. They really do care about what they are doing. We still call them every year to do the annual check up and we don't have any problems with the people or the service.

We are happy with the service and plan to continue to use them.

It was the best. I didn't get any other assessments. The repairman was excellent in explaining what he was doing. He went over and above in the repair by using extra pieces in his truck not to fix the problem but to increase the efficiency. I will use them again.

Everything went really well. The installation technicians arrived on time. They went through what they were going to be doing, they were professional, respectful and knowledgeable. I had to go to work, so was not at home to observe their work. When I returned home, it was as if a brand new, beautiful heat pump had magically appeared. There was no sign that the guys had been here - they cleaned up any mess they may have made, put anything they may have moved back in place - I was amazed! I have not used the new system yet because I have a neurotic rule that I will not turn on the heat until October...as late into October as possible. BUT I am looking forward to a quieter, reliable, efficient heating system along with savings on my electric bill.
