He used 4 comparable sales and other competing properties to appraise our home. We disagreed with 2 of the 4 comparable sales, one home which was 11 years older than our home and both were not in our neighborhood. He was unwilling to consider other properties which we presented to him. He also stated in his opinion a $40,000 home improvement which added over 400 square feet to our home was only worth half of what we paid less than a year ago. He claimed that our 3 car garage was only a 2 car + shop because we have a sloped driveway and also claimed that we could not store a car in that 3rd car stall. This is untrue and hurt the appraised value of our home. We don't feel he used accurate information to appraise our home and felt that he should have been more willing to listen to other information especially since it is only his opinion. The comparable sales and verbage he used was very close to another appraisal we had done by another firm. After the fact we learned that these firms share office space. We would recommend NOT using this firm if you want a fair and accurate appraisal of your property.
