+ -1 moreObviously, this was a "bait and switch" situation. A couple of days later I called the person on the phone that I had spoken to that had given me the wrong price. She said she had not been sure of the price that she had quoted on the phone. I told her she never indicated that it would be more than $900. She said she was sorry and was going by memory from some list. I told her she wasted my time driving to the store only to find out that the actual price was not even close to the one she had quoted repeatedly on the phone. All she said was that she was sorry. I will not be getting a mattress from a store that is uses these kinds of tactics to get customers to their store. It would make me suspicious of anything I would be told by American Mattress.
Description of Work: I called American Mattress to find the price of a particular kind of mattress. I was told they had a discontinued mattress in stock that would sell between $800-$900 "maybe less because it was a discontinued model." When I arrived at the store the next day, I was told that the mattess was $3400 and that the other price must have been a mistake!. I continued to ask to make sure they were talking about the discontinued model that I had spoken to a sales person the previous day. They said it was the correct mattress, but I was quoted the wrong price. I left the store without purchasing anything because I felt I had been misled.
