Mostly fine, but when they were leaving they accidentally mixed the flat paint with the semi-gloss in the same can.

We had a little problem with them showing up to give us an estimate and later when they were supposed to pressure wash the house and sidewalk when promised. They did a great job in caulking the cedar siding, doors and windows (Other painters would not caulk the cracks in the siding). They helped us pick out the special colors that we wanted for the trim and siding. They make sure that the trim design and paint on the house and shed were just right. After they were through they came back and pressure washed the driveway and sidewalk again.

In Progress. Weather has slowed the finish of project.

Whenever I have work done, I pick the brains of the person who comes to give me an estimate. It's important to me that the people have a wide knowledge of all the aspects of the process they are going to perform. I felt very comfortable with that process. The men who did the work were prompt, they did an excellent job, checked with me to be sure that they were meeting my expectations, and finished within the expected time. They left my property clean and neat. I am very happy with my porches!!!! They look great!!!

First of all, I want to say to Brakeall that Angie's List is requiring me to leave this review. Heather and Thomas are very kind and good people but on this job, with the stairs, there were several issues. Part of the issues is that we didn't read the fine print of the bid deal and what we needed painting was for 10 foot ceilings. However, the hours were adjusted to accommodate the ceiling. The rest of the painting is uneven and streaky in almost all the places and the new walls painted have touch up marks because of the filling wasn't done. We have had another provider out and told that the entire walls need to be redone to get rid of the unevenness and streaky ness. I am not going to go into all the details as I have contacted Heather and Thomas directly and only filling out this part because A List has required me to do so. Brakeall has so many great reviews and this just happened to be a project that didn't go so well. I wouldn't let this project impact someone's decision to hire them as it sounds like many people have had a great experience. We would simply like a refund to be able to hire a new company to come in and get rid of the streaks and unevenness and the missed spots.

Excellent response as soon as I emailed. They were in contact with me and went out to do a bid on a rental house with in a a day. Received my estimate within 2 or 3 days. Kept me informed of progress of power washing/ body work on the house. Showed up when they said they would and worked with the tenant to schedule. Came back and did touch up after a new door was installed at no charge. Definitely would use them again on my personal home. Highly recommended and professional. Ranae

I got them through Angie’s List. I have two issues with them. I am comfortable with them and that is why they have been here since January. On the other hand, they have been here since January trying to do one job. They leave cigarette butts all over. I have paid them two weeks ago and they have not been back to finish the job. As to how the people actually are, I like them very much.

Neat, works quickly, not in haste but with experience. I have experienced much frustration painting and it was truly fun to watch how it should be done. He is a professional! Hire him, you won't be disappointed.

It was fine. They weren't as experienced as I might have wanted but they were good. They were careful and clean. They ran out of time to do as much as I really wanted. They were good but they were not as organized as I felt they could have been. They did it and they were courteous. They were not as quick but I think that they were kind of new at this too. The price was okay, it was equivalent to what my nephew would have done it for. The quality was good but they left a couple of little mini some spots in my room. I didn't like that. The punctuality was pretty good. I would perhaps use them again in future if I had enough money,

She worked hard and continuously the entire time she was here. She made a minimum of mess and fuss while she was working and took all the used brushes and rollers with her to clean elsewhere.

We were excited that a coupon deal came up right when we needed someone to paint our ceiling. We had shiny ceiling paint on the ceiling in some areas, and different shades of white throughout, and we wanted to go with flat white over the entire ceiling. I gave the information over the phone, but then Tom came out to assess the job since I also wanted them to do some repair work on a straight line gouge in the ceiling texture about 1/4" wide x 7' long where a built in bookcase had been. They came back a couple of days later to do the work. They put drop cloths down and covered the furniture with plastic. They worked efficiently and seemed to be doing a pretty good job when I checked on them occasionally. I was surprised when they were cleaning up after about 3.5 hours (the coupon was for 8 man hours of work, and there were two of them). I pointed out several areas that still appeared shiny, but they said those areas were still wet and to give it 2 hours to dry. After the requested 2 hours, it became quite obvious that they had completely missed numerous areas, including an unpainted patch that was 2' x 4'! There were little shiny triangles in many places where they hadn't properly overlapped the roller strokes. There were a couple of areas where the ceiling paint had gone down into the wall paint, several areas of droplet splatter on the wood floor and walls, a huge glob of white paint on one wall, and our new dining room chairs somehow had paint on them despite being covered during the job (must have happened when removing the drop cloth). To top it off, Tom had "fixed" the gouge by filling it with spackle, let it dry, then spraying texture on top of that, and flattening it with a spatula. This left a raised area 1.25" wide which was more noticeable than the previous 1/4" gouge. The guys did come back later the same day and paint all the unpainted sections when I informed them the job still needed to be completed, but we will have to touch up the walls that had paint on them and ceiling/wall line on one wall. I'm not sure what to do about the repaired gouge. For someone that advertises an expertise in texture repair, I expected more.

I purchased a Big Deal for 8 hours of wallpaper removal and texturing. As it turned out, the wallpaper had been applied directly to the sheet rock which meant there was a need to completely float and skim coat the walls between wallpaper removal and texturing. Thomas went out of his way to minimize the extra time and labor and keep the job as close as possible to the original deal time and price. Great communication and punctuality with these guys. I'm already planning to bring them back for some painting

In a day and a half they prepped/cleaned/ repaired the surface and began the base color painting. Next day they finish base and trim colors. They were very meticulous and offered to come out again to touch up after we have gutter work done as this can cause some surface dings during installation. I will use them again.
