Chris did excellent work with a bathroom floor replacement and several other repair projects around the house both inside and out. He found a creative solution with existing materials when replacement tiles were not available. I have hired him for other projects as they have come up and will do so again. Highly recommend.

I called Chris (Just Fix it) on Aug 20, 2016 to set an appointment to meet at my tenant's place to get a bid on the job. I text him but he didnt text me back, then he called back at 1:15pm and said he is at the place waiting. So I told him to wait as I have to drive there and open the door for him. So I go there but the door wouldnt open somehow even with my master key , I called my tenant but they werent home so he left. I ask him to call me on Sunday and set a time so we can meet up and get a bid on the job as the tenant will be home then. Sunday came, I text him and I received no answer. Then later in the day, around 2 pm I got a vm from Chris telling me that he is done with the job. He didnt say what the cost was on the vm. When I tried to follow up with him on why he went ahead and work on the job without asking me for my permission and why the total charge was $90, he proceeded to insult me that I had him wait two times for the job, that i tried to lower the price even though he was giving me a good price. First of all, any contractors I have dealt with in the past always have to ask me for permission first before they start any work by giving me the bid price for the job. Chris subvert my authority and went ahead without asking. Second, for the scope of work done - I thought it was a bit stiff, what he did was change the latch on the door and 8 screws on the door jams. The work took about 45 mins per my renter. Then he said he charge a minumum fee for all his work and he did fix the problem. He complained that I had him wait twice .But the 1st time, it was to get the bid and the tenant wasnt home. The 2nd time, he didnt tell me he was going to the house but the tenant was home. So I dont understand what he meant. Third, I would not trust this contractor again for any jobs in the future. He has difficulty communicating with others and he proceeds to work on a job that wasn't approve. The good thing about this whole experience was that I wasnt stuck with a huge bill, by any means he could have ask for the moon and I would be stuck with having to pay for it.

I hired Chris to install a portable 5000 BTU Air Conditioner in the horizontal sliding window in a trailer. This job required Chris to also create a plywood panel to fill the gap left above the air conditioner. Most portable AC units are made for vertical windows, so to install this unit required Chris to customize to fit. He did the job perfectly, was professional, on time, and charged only $90 for two hours of work. This AC unit was a gift to a friend, and I live far away from the job site. My friend in Folsom, California is going through 100 degree temperatures and was thrilled with Chris' work, calling him as nice as Santa Claus, and she is now enjoying cool air inside her trailer. I would recommend Chris for any kind of general handyman jobs.
