"Only thing they did themselves was the patio ceiling & French drain for my project. Acted as hiring contractor for all the other work. Overall project was a success, but I didn't appreciate how the lead crewman/ owner spoke to his employee. Subcontractors that were hired were excellent."

If you’re looking for a siding repair contractor—certified and trained in the latest product applications and installation techniques—you’ve come to the right place. SFW Construction is a licensed bonded and insured general contractor headquartered in Portland, Oregon—and serving the Pacific Northwest through our 8 satellite locations including 2 locations in Seattle, Washington. We are known for our quality repair work and are the first reputable construction company to specialize in properly treating dry rot for home and business owners. When it comes to dry rot repair, there is only one choice—SFW Construction.
"SFW installed a second story window in my house. The man doing the work (Foster) arrived on time 7:30 a.m. and his assistant Ryan arrived at 8:00 a.m. my husband and I had the window and most of the frame out, we did this from the inside and a new custom window on hand ready to install. My husband is 80 years old and I did not feel comfortable having him on the ladder. This is how dumb I am: I actually thought that when a company charges 200.00 plus per hour for two men to install a window theyâ  d do it in a timely fashion. They arrived with every tool in the book even a table saw and wood pieces in the truck. The window was in by 10:30. But he needed a piece of wood. They went to a lumber yard and it took two men 2.5 hours to get this piece of wood so the 2x4 and a few ancillary odds and ends cost us around 450.00. When they returned there was only the outer frame to install, a drip cap, and sill. In the end I was billed for 16.5 hours to install a window the total bill was 2293.00. Donâ  t get me wrong I am happy to have the window in and the men did a good job in the end but in my opinion this should not have taken two men 8 hours plus, this was a morning project at best. All along the way the people I dealt with were very nice. This appeared to have been an upsell opportunity for SFW and they can say anything they want but this was not efficient by any means. I did learn two valuable lessons; never assume a high hourly wage is a sign of efficiently and always get an estimate!!"
