We had done several bids, and chose REF Construction because of Ryan Founds ability to communicate the bid and plan in a clear, organized, and professional manner. He was fun to work with and made the process go very smoothly. He set up a schedule for our project, and met the end date on time. He also found us some great prices on appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, and other essentials. Sean, the on-sight project manager, made sure every thing was taken care of. He really went above and beyond with his attention to detail. We appreciated the team cleaning up after each day and communicating with us about what was happening. We felt they answered our questions and were responsive to our needs. The final price was on target, and we feel pleased we have a beautiful kitchen, exactly as we had planned from the start. We would highly recommend REF Construction, and plan to hire them again in the future.

Can't say enough about the way Ryan worked with us to stay on budget.From the very beginning, Ryan worked with us to get the result we wanted for the budget we had set.A calendar for work was established and adhered to very closely.Workers were professional and knowledgeable. Cleaned up after themselves every day. Took time to help me find our water shut off valve in the back yard and even thought to save my old shower head from demolition, which I had forgotten to ask for.Tile work was extensive and arduous, as we had chosen slate for everything. Alex and his helpers did a wonderful job tiling and it looks amazing.Our bathroom looks wonderful and we are extremely happy with it!We highly recommend REF construction and will not hesitate to use them again.

From day one, Ryan and REF was very prompt. I was able to trust what he said and his suggestions, this is very important to me. Communication, to and from, was great during my five week project. I have already recommended his services to others in my area. The quality of work from himself, his company, and the subcontractors were excellent. I am very happy with the final result.

From start to finish, this project has been fantastic. Ryan kept us updated on every aspect of the work and provided a timeline for each step. REF finished a week ahead of schedule and we're back in our incredible kitchen. We certainly chose the right contractor!

They did another great job for me. I had a flood in the finished basement of my rental home due to a leaky gutter. They removed all the carpets (which were soaked and growing mushrooms), and installed tile throughout. While they were at it, I had them turn one window in two of the rooms into egress windows, making those rooms legal bedrooms. They also replaced the sheetrock on one wall (that the clean up crew had to remove due to mold issues) and textured to match the rest of the walls. They did good work, and they were also very patient and professional with my tenants, who had some issues with the dust the work created. Ryan even sprang for a cleaning lady to clean the kitchen and bathroom which got dusty due to the stuff traveling upstairs through the air ducts. They were really great with my renters. They also took good care of the landscape in the front of the house-- digging up a small tree that had to be moved to allow for the new window well, then re-planting it when they were done. I'm very happy with the whole experience!

To date, everything has gone smoothly and we have been updated and "kept in the loop" each step of the way. Ryan has also been quick to respond to any questions or concerns we have had.

From start to finish,Ryan was professional, organized, helpful and had an eye for detail. He and his team of subs provided a high quality remodel. The remodel schedule was comprehensive and adhered to. We appreciated the little things that were thought of and completed by Ryan and his subs, even if we didn't think of them. Such as repairing an existing hole in the garage ceiling, remembering to paint the pet door and adding new color coordinated electrical outlets that added a finsihed look to the family room. It was obvious that Ryan, Sean and his team of subs truly cared about the work they performed. As each question about the process or concern about the final result was raised Ryan was there to address it and correct whatever was needed. We love our new kitchen and are very happy that REF Construction did the job!

Everything went very smoothly and the process was relatively stress-free . Ryan was very attentive, always listening to me and remembering what we talked about. I chose him over the other contractors I was considering because he was the only one who came back to my house with his estimate and that told me that customer service was important to him. He did not disappoint, I always felt like a VIP. On the rare occasion when he would make a mistake (example-- he tossed my shower head that was supposed to be re-installed), he would take the appropriate measures to fix it to my satisfaction (he bought me a new shower head). In an industry full of shady people, he is a stand up guy. I'm very happy with the work that was done, it is quality work and I am so pleased with the results. Ryan and his crew got things done on time, and on- budget. They were clean and courteous. He was also willing to re-adjust the schedule when the materials I ordered sometimes were late being delivered or were not of the correct speculations. The house looks great, so I would recommend him and his crew to anyone wanting to update their home, it was a very positive experience.

The project went extremely well. Ryan was very responsive from the start. My questions were answered by email (my preferred form of communication) by the next morning with the detail I had expected, or a note of when he would get back to me. This was really great and an important factor for me. I was very pleased with his suggestions about the cabinetry and vanity bath selections. Ryan provided me with a detail schedule at the start and informed me when something would be delayed and the reason. The only thing that was delayed, was the painting, since the painter was ill. However, this did not impact the overall schedule. They also kept the site as free of dust and clutter as possible each night. I am very pleased with my remodel. I love, love love my new utility room, as it is the room that I enter and exit several times a day!. It is very inviting and makes me smile each time I come home! The guest bath is also wonderful. Now I don't have to apologize for the sad condition of the guest bathroom when I have company! On a side note: I was having some new windows installed in my family room. Some significant dry rot was uncovered. The window contractor informed me that I would need to find someone to fix the dry rot before they could install the new window. Thank goodness for Ryan!! He told me not to worry, that he would fix it the following week. I totally trusted him and gave him the OK to just FIX it!!! And to replace any other siding that needed to be replaced. The work was done and charged me a very reasonable fee. The window supplier was able to install the new window before the rains came!

First, let me say, REF Construction did a wonderful job for all phases of the work and I would hire them for any new remodeling work we would do in the future. The general contractor (Ryan Founds) and his ENTIRE crew as well as subcontractors were professional, courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, willing to listen to and take into consideration our questions, and willing to stay with the project until we were completely satisfied. We were given the promise of doing the complete kitchen remodel in 4 weeks. REF Construction finished within that period of time except for some small follow-up work (which was a supply issue, not contractor). All of the people working on the project were absolutely the best. REF Construction's foreman, Sean, was phenomenal , staying until the day's projects were finished in order to stay on schedule. While planning this kitchen we had many bids (at least 1/2 dozen). While REF was not the lowest, we felt it very reasonable for the work outlined. When the work was done, I think we can say the outcome exceeded our expectations and I think we, given the cost, got our money's worth and far,far more. REF Construction was always on time, on task, always cleaned up at the end of the day, really a very pleasant group of people to work with. We could not be happier.

We had REF do one bathroom earlier this spring and were very pleased with the results so we decided to go ahead and have the other bathrooms done as well -- more extensive this time with a new bathtub installed and a new shower installed in the other one. New flooring was put in and the walls were retextured. They framed our old mirrors with wood that matched the cabinets and new light fixtures were installed. They tore out the old and moved in the new. The cabinets are beautiful and the tile work especially nice. The whole job was completed in about three weeks. They are beautiful and updated, the shower works much better and the new cabinets are great! These are good people to work with.

They installed the microwave, fixed the cabinets, tore out the counter and made a Korean countertop. They finished some minor works and gave me back some money back, as the under counter railing were not required. I liked their work and will use the same in future.

We had never had any exstensive remodeling done and I can honestly say our experience with REF Construction was wonderful! From the very first day, Ryan was at our home every day there was work done, on time and explained all that would happen, step by step. First he designed the new kitchen and showed us a computer image of it so I could pick out cabinets, countertops, fixtures, flooring, lighting, sinks and door. The design had everything we wanted for our kitchen with every detail included. His estimate was very detailed and accurate and if a change needed to be done, such as the dryrot that was found & needed to be replaced, we were contacted that day & told what it would involve. He introduced the plumber, electrician and Sean, his employee. All were very respectful of our home and our comfort during the renovation. Every night all debri was cleaned up, the dust barrier intact and any equipment left was neatly stacked. Ryan coordinated all deliveries directly to our house and the kitchen was started and finished three weeks later, right on schedule! He would surprise me with extra touches, such as suggesting they round all the wall corners, at no extra cost, making our remodel far exceed our dreams. The laundry room was done in less than a week and again exceeded my expectations. Everyone that visits our home are amazed at the transformation. Instead of a 1971 ranch with a dark, narrow kitchen & livingroom, we have a beautiful, open kitchen that flows into the dinning & living rooms. All the cupboards are useable with lazy-susans, pull-out garbage can, self-closing drawers & cupboards. The lighting makes it so much easier to cook and out the new door is my clean, fresh laundryroom with storage cupboards! I can't wait for the next project and will certainly call Ryan at REF Construction.

The whole job was completed in just a week's time, including the tearing out of the old and coordination of the plumber, sheetrocker and flooring person, all of whom did quality work. They were especially good about cleaning up after themselves as they worked, which I appreciated very much. All in all it was a good experience.

We were impressed with Ryan from the moment he came to give us an estimate. He answered all questions we had at that time and throughout the remodel. He kept appointments and got the work done when he said it would be done. He was very helpful in decision making and did much to make the process as easy and painless as possible. He went above and beyond in doing extras that he did not have to do. We are completely happy with the work and will use him again if the occasion arises. He and his crew were extremely polite and friendly. We highly recommend REF Construction to anyone who needs any kind of construction work done in their homes.

It went very well. They worked with us and the cabinet designer to get agreement on exactly what we wanted ahead of time, and then they executed very well. We are very happy with the final outcome.

I initially contacted them from Angie's List to install the new countertop. Ryan understood quickly what I needed and in the completion of the project they were responsive and on time. I have graded them down slightly in responsiveness because it took a while to get a response after initially talking about the second project. Ryan seems to respond more promptly to email than to voice messages. In fairness - All was done within my required deadline. The small drawer cabinet and the pantry fit perfectly and were exactly what was needed in this location. If they have a flaw at all it's not submitting a final invoice promptly. I am very satisfied with the work and I enjoyed their friendly and positive attitudes.

Although we didn't hire Ryan, it wasn't because we didn't like his quote or professionalism. On the contrary, Ryan was prompt, professional, and gave us the best quote. We decided against going with Ryan because we chose to have the cabinet maker also be the installer, thinking one person on the hook for everything was better than splitting the responsibilities. I have no qualms recommending Ryan. I am sure he would have given us a good install at the best price.
