Jay was very professional and prompt with his initial estimate and when he came to do the job. He is also very reasonably priced charging me considerably less than the original bid.You bet, I would hire him again and hope to.

He is very very professional. He is very methodical. He cleaned up every day after himself. I rate him very highly.

When I started using him I was always home r had someon here with him. The last time I used him I gave him the keys to the house and went on a two week vac to scotland. The work place is always clean when he leaves for the day. If Im home, he looks me up when he leaves to tell me.You cant go wrong with this guy

Jay responded to my initial email within 24 hrs. He called to arrange for an appointment and was able to come at the end of my work day. Very nice and professional. Even though this wasn't a big project, he took plenty of time to understand what I wanted and made suggestions to make it better. He had an opening in his schedule and was able to do the project that same week.Jay gave me an estimated price that was reasonable since the removal of the trim on the stairs was going to be time consuming. Jay showed up right on time and I felt very copmfortable in leaving a key while I went to work. The cat door looks great and the cabinet in the garage far exceeds my expectations. It even has 2 round screened windows for ventilation and light. The stair edges look very good without a nick or scratch on the existing flooring. Jay came in right on estimate even though he did some extras and even put a new crew in a door knob. I would highly recommend Jay for any maintenace project and will definately use him again.

He's really nice and I would definitely use him again. He was very prompt and punctual with his appointment and showed up on time. I asked him about my fridge and instead of trying to charge me to take a look at it, he told me honestly that he wouldn't be able to and to contact the company itself.

They did a great job with this repair. I have used them for several jobs. He always does a neat job and is amazing. He likes to do the tough jobs that will challenge him.

Jay dug a new hole, placed a layer of river rock for drainage and then cemented the new post in the ground. He checked many times during the process to make sure the post remained square. He left the area cleaner than he found it. He used a whisk broom and pan to sweep up the small amount of dirt that had fallen in the street. He also offered to rake the bark dust in the parking strip where he had left footprints. I can't remember another time that a workman has ever made me that offer. Very professional install -- plus it looks good.

At the end of the task the windows look wonderful! The old drapes are in the trash. He also took down the old traverse rods for me. He looked at another problem area.......the patio awning, which is bowed due to pillars rotting over time. We discussed a few different approaches and have decided to replace the bad posts with new treated posts.

I had a couple of plugged and leaking downspouts and my roof and gutters were overdue for cleaning. I thought that one downspout may need repair, but Jay determined that they were just plugged and worked to clean them out. Also, I can't see the roof on one side as the house backs to a ravine, and mentioned the possibility of moss treatment, but Jay said that all was good and brushed off the roof. Besides his professionalism and courteous manner, I am so glad that he does not go ahead with work that is not needed to help my cost. I can trust also that he treats my older roof gently, instead of the quick and damaging methods used by others. I had called a top-rated company, and they wanted to charge me almost double the price for my ranch daylight/basement home (approx. 1000 sq ft one level, with easy access and normal pitched roof), so I even happier when Jay could do the work. Jay left the area neat and clean as agreed up (I did a little clean-up to save some in one area), with my many plants looking great. With the past 2 storms, all the gutters are working great....I need to prioritize this maintenance item for 1 to 2 times a year due to neighboring firs and maples, and will call Jay again for sure!

We were impressed from the first day Jay came for an estimate. He measured, asked questions, and wrote enough notes that he could pre-build part of the shelving in his workshop. He gave us an estimate of hours and materials. He also demonstrated how to remove scratches on the porcelain/iron sink. The day he was to work here, we were around to watch. We signed a "begin work" contract and a very complete construction agreement. He also gave us an informational notice regarding procedure of arbitrations and lawsuits. Jay does excellent work. He also prepares and measures and cleans up his jobs well. Each project was in a different room, and when he was finished, I walked around smiling at the difference between feeling the house was deteriorating and being able to use areas not formerly available. PRICE: $60/hr plus materials. That's a lot for us, but IMO a fair price for this level of quality work. We would definitely hire Jay again, as well as recommend him to anyone who wants a great job.

He didn’t charge me anything as it was a simple job and I didn’t know how to do it. He was not pushy with other services. He was very helpful and did the job free of cost. I liked his services and will use the same in future.

Jay responded to my e-mail within hours and came to look at the project on my next day off.I had a list of things I'd been frustrated by - falling off cove-base, mice getting in through an opening under my kitchen sink, and handicap accessible projects I just couldn't do. Plus a split pipe that prevented me from watering out in my front yard. He did it all. He replaced the sloppy cove base with base board and made my 1/2 bath look like an HGTV "poster child" as a result! I had a 3 and 1/2 inch riser for a toilet that the box said would take 30 minutes. That's if you even knew how to move a toilet let alone had the strength to move a toilet in the first place. Jay did a beautiful job with that. He did projects completely - even though I didn't know what to ask for. Caulked the toilet to make it more stable, bought and installed better bolts into the floor for stability. AND you wouldn't know he'd been there "ripping the place apart" because he cleaned everything up when he was done. He listened to what I was saying, and did more than I expected. I now have a smooth entry onto the ramp at my front door, my disabled husband no longer needs grab bars around the toilet, the mice are living outside, HGtV would be proud of the improved 1/2 bath, and my flowers are happy in the front yard. He is fast, thorough, professional and I'm already working up the next list for him to come back and complete! I also have much larger projects I will be asking him to do in the future. He is the best!!

An appointment was made with Jay and he promptly came to the house and evaluated the job and made some very good suggestions for the type of door and hardware required for the job. Jay listened and understood immediately what we wanted. Jay is a professional, is quick, and left the job in an organized and workmanlike manner. The door is beautiful and looks like the rest of the house and functions precisely. We highly recommend Jay's Company.

Very professional. Clear about what projects he could do vs what required a specialist (plumber, etc), worked quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up afterward. Easy to work with.

They were professional, prompt, courteous and very thorough. They seemed to be very interested. I had the guy come back because we were having trouble with the caulk caking on the surface and he came back to further troubleshoot it and tried some fixes and things like that; so lot of follow through. I would recommend them and would use them again if needed.

It went bad at first. I was told he would get back in two days , it was a week. We talked it over, and I now understand. On the job I had him do this time he was great. No subs coming in. I'm dealing with the same person at all times. A real plus.

Jay is amazing. We'd worked with him before on replacing exhaust fans in both of our bathrooms, and he did such good work, we had him back to look into a ceiling fan that was scarily separating from the ceiling in our kitchen. Jay was able to see to it right away. He thoroughly investigated the problem, including crawling through the loose insulation in an attic space, then set about sourcing the correct materials and fixing the problem. He even went so far as to fix a broken decorative fan part using a very MacGuyver-esque solution - bonus! He is punctual, professional, detail-oriented, thorough, and a super nice guy. I will continue to hire him for all sorts of work around our home.

I called him and set an appointment for a day later. He came on time and prepared with the tools for the job. He worked neatly and took care not to ruin my carpet. He put a tarp down and used his shop vac to keep the debris to a minimum. He was an absolute dream to work with. So glad I found him. I referred him to my realtor.
