Description of Work: Contracted Fulton Custom Concrete, Inc. after seeing on Angie's List and interviewed saw work perform by his company, which all rating was excellent. After Mr. Fulton started the project and up completion, the work was unsatisfactory to what we asked of him. Poorly stamped the deck and did not cut in the expansion joints as previously stated and saw on one of his projects. Two level deck approximately 500 sq. ft., with lower section so poorly done that you could hardly tell if it was stamped or not. In addition a poorly job of sealing the deck afterwards. When confronted he had no excuse and no answers. Was to come back after Friday meeting us on Monday, instead got a email stating he was no longer in business. After talking to several contractors and suppliers decided to go after his bond. The Oregon Contractor Board came out an agree that it was a poorly done and only way to correct it was to completely take out the deck and start over. This process of going to Contractor Board of Oregon and ending up going to court took about six months or longer, plus all the hours we had research and interview trade people. Mr. Brandon Fulton since has filed bankruptcy and was no show on the meeting with the Board. Now we understand we have won our case and most likely receive the cost of replacing the work that was performed. It is important not to pay any contractor in full until the complete work is completed. We had to pay the concrete supplier, which lucky we held back that money. Mr. Fulton could go back in business under another name and apply for another bond, so be careful, I understand this typical of contractors who file bankruptcy. Now if we receive the money from his bond company, we will now have another long process of getting everything done again, plus removing the work that was done by Fulton's. Do not just stop at Angie's, it just a start to get someone to do the work, still important to check out the contractor(s) and then recheck, plus make sure everything is in writing, every detail. This is what we did.

Description of Work: The ripped up the driveway and poured a new concrete driveway.
