I first encountered Mister Doss when he installed some windows and a door for us. He was working for another contractor on this job. He said that he was a contractor himself, and we should give him a call about some other work we needed done. The work on the windows and door was very good, we were pleased with the installation. Our impression was that he was a hard worker and he knew what he was doing. We also noted that he was very chatty. He mentioned during one of his long winded orations that he had "obsessive compulsive tendencies", it was obvious. We felt that if he could channel that into doing the work, that could be just fine. I called him. He came and looked at the projects and talked , a lot, about what needed to be done. He was going to send people out to check on window trim, gutters and brickwork that need attention, as well as an overhaul of our basement bathroom. He told us that he had another job going on that was taking up a lot of time. But he was wrapping that up and would get to our job as soon as possible. weeks went by. He did not answer calls, he did not respond to messages. When I finally got ahold of him, he told me that he had to camp out at his other project because of problems with the job and that he did not have phone service out there. He told me that he was sending someone to look at the tile work on the bathroom project. That person stopped by, took measurements, and seemed eager to get started. I spoke with Mr. Doss again a few days later. He told me that he was waiting to get the report on the tiles and that he would "stop by on Thursday" and get things started. He did not show up. He did not answer calls and did not respond to messages for weeks. When I finally did get ahold of him he again went on and on about how problems on his other job were taking all of his time. But he would "stop by on Thursday" and get started. This "Thursday" was no different from the other one that was promised. He didn't show up, he didn't answer calls and he didn't respond to messages. In fact, I haven't heard from him since. We wasted the the summer waiting for Mr. Doss to get started. It didn't happen. I gave him plenty of opportunities to respond ( I guess it was too many). I even gave him a call a few weeks ago, before writing this, to see if he had a valid excuse for leaving us hanging. But again no response. It seems to me that mister Doss does a fine job when he is working for someone else. But he is much too flakey and unreliable to entrust a project to as a contractor.

It went very smoothly. Bill has a great attention to detail, and was good at communicating my options for door placement. I would use Doss again for any remodeling project.

Bill did an excellent job. His work was meticulous, and he also gave us a lot of helpful information about remodeling and about our house in general. He ordered and installed the window to accommodate our schedule. I can't say enough about how happy we are with the new window. I was also amazed that when he found an unexpected complication (electrical wiring that had to be relocated), he was able to get an electrician on short notice to fix the problem. I don't think I've ever come across a contractor where the work went so smoothly. Bill is a fountain of knowledge about windows and remodeling in general. We would definitely use him again.

Doss Design & Construction LLC is one of the best out there when it comes to quality and service. Bill Doss really takes the time to listen to your needs and wants and helps you attain the look and functionality you are looking for at a price that is very reasonable for any budget. We now have a 4th bedroom added to our house increasing its value exponentially and a living space remodeled where we can actually use it. Bill was professional, on time and completed the project within budget and on time. We have been so pleased with his quality of work that we have used him for several projects in our home. He uses nothing but the best materials out there yet makes it affordable, and ensures his work is of the highest standards. Definitely worth contacting if you have a job in mind from windows and doors to full remodels. Great job!

The project went extremely well. It was complete on time in within budget. Budget was an issue and he worked with us to keep the price as low as possible. At the beginning of the project we established our goals, desire and budget. He communicated with us daily to insure that the project was progressing to our desire and to discuss any alternative. Communication was great and very important.
