DON SCHULZ ROOFING

Schulz installed the roof on the home we bought. Install occurred 8 years prior, lifetime of product is approximately 20. Install was performed so poorly that roof had to be fully replaced and negligence restless in damage extending to structure. **Do not use this contractor.** Untrustworthy and lacking in basic riding skills.

Everything went well, until I received a call at work (approx 11:00 am) that my entire roof needed to be sheeted, a few of the 2x4 rafters. My house was built in 1920, were splitting from age and needed to be braced. I was aware this may need to be done. I arrived at my house on my lunch hour (1:15pm) to find my house completely stripped, bare boards showing. My father was with me, climbed on the roof to survey the situation. We okayed the need for the sheeting again. Some of sheeting was already present at the my house. He did not disclose which sheeting he was using OSB or CDX, did not tell me how much is was going to cost either. I trusted that he was acting in my best interest. The remaining work was completed the following day. Don called me at 6:00 to arrange a time for me to pay him the next morning.I asked how much additional that I would owe, he told me he didn't know as he hadn't figured it out. I owed $3000.00 more than the original estimate when he presented the final bill.
