HOUSE OF FLOORS

The services performed by House of Floors in our home can be split into three categories: (1) Installation of new carpeting in all the bedrooms, (2) Installation of Pergo in the living areas of the house, and (3) installation of transitional moulding in all the areas where Pergo was installed. The first step, carpeting, went absolutely fine. The carpeting was very well installed and looks fantastic. The workers were friendly, considerate of our family, and done on time. The second step was installation of Pergo in the living areas. They budgeted two days to complete this job and did not afford themselves enough time. On the second night, they were still in our home at 9:30PM hurriedly trying to rush through to completion. However, with respect to the floorboards, the end result did look pretty nice. The third part of the job was installation of moulding all around the floorboards. This was the part of the job they were trying to complete late at night and it looked absolutely terrible when they were finished. It was not transitioned well at all. There were visible gaps between connecting pieces of moulding. Entire portions of the job were not complete and remained unfinished because they ran out of materials. It looked extremely shoddy, like someone had glued Lincoln Logs to my floor. We contacted House of Floors to attempt to remedy the situation but got the run-around. They informed us it "would take too long to complete the job" and "they had already spent hours" trying to get it right the first time. They recommended we go out and buy some wood-colored putty and sculpt the ends to our preference. We found that suggestion unacceptable. With only another 1-2 hours of labor, House of Floors could have left me a happy customer. Instead, I am soured by how little pride they took in their work and how disinterested they were in trying to address the pleas of myself and my wife. I will not use their services in the future and recommend friends and family do the same.

It was very good service. The gentleman who came was very clean and picked up and vacuumed after himself. He did a good job laying the carpet. He was professional, friendly, and unobtrusive.
