Mark arrived early and was friendly and professional. He answered all our questions as well as giving us a thorough report. He went into the attic and crawl space as well as on the roof. He gave us a verbal report right then and the written report with color photos the next day as promised. He separated out safety concerns and major concerns which really helped us to prioritize and make decisions.

He missed a lot of relevant things. My furnace was rusted out and was leaking carbon monoxide, there were too many things on each breaker, and I had live wires hanging down in the garage. I had vents in one of the rooms that went straight down to my garage and my grandson almost fell through; I had no idea that the vent was just for show and there was nothing under it. It wouldn’t have made a difference about whether I bought the house, but it would have changed what I paid for the house. He was very professional but I don’t think I got a good inspection.

House 2 Home was a referral from my bank. I was concerned about moisture in the walls of an older home. I was told that Mark also offered thermal imaging. I called Mark at the last minute. He was very flexible in his schedule and was able to perform the inspection a few days later. Mark was very thorough. I tagged along with him and he was great about explaining every detail. The thermal imaging did show moisture in certain areas. Additionally, he was able to show areas of the home that were not insulated. Mark inputs all the information into his computer on the site and provides you with a notebook with his entire report, including pictures. Because of the results of his inspection, I did not purchase that home. However, I was so impressed with his work that I hired him a second time on March 1, 2010. Even though there are a number of repairs needed in the second home, I know exactly what I'm getting into. Even after his inpsection, Mark has been a great resource to answer questions that have come up when I've received bids for the work to be performed.
